Season 2 of Netflix's One Piece Script And Updates

The scripts for the second season of Netflix's live-action adaptation of 'One Piece' have already been completed. Marty Adelstein, the CEO of Tomorrow Studios, the series' producer, confirmed earlier in the week. He stated, "We have scripts ready." However, due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, production for the upcoming season cannot commence. Nevertheless, Becky Clements, the President of Tomorrow Studios, is cautiously optimistic about a potential release window, which could potentially be set for 2024. She remarked, "Realistically, hopefully, a year from now, if we progress swiftly, and that's a possibility." She went on to say, "Somewhere between a year and 18 months, we could be prepared for airing." Despite the studio's preparedness, Netflix has not yet officially announced the second season. Clements explained, "They keep it, as you know, under wraps until after the launch." She continued, "But given Netflix's support for the series, we anticipated it would perform well, and we suspected that their research and algorithms saw the potential for that. However, in our conversations following the launch, we've been informed that we have exceeded expectations, which is also fantastic."

Stay tuned for further updates regarding the release of 'One Piece' season two.

One Piece Netflix Season 2

Just a week ago, the live-action rendition of ONE PIECE set sail and swiftly conquered the English TV charts, amassing a remarkable 18.5 million views within a mere four days of its debut. This series made its presence known in 93 countries by securing a spot in the Top 10 and claimed the coveted No. 1 position in 46 of them. Adapted from Japan's bestselling manga series of all time, boasting over 500 million copies sold worldwide, the live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's epic narrative currently boasts one of Netflix's most impressive audience scores to date. However, before Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) could embark on his quest across the East Blue in search of the enigmatic One Piece treasure, he had to assemble his very own crew of pirates for this grand adventure. In a manner reminiscent of the young pirate captain in ONE PIECE, showrunners Matt Owens and Steve Maeda had the task of assembling a group of actors capable of capturing the essence of Eiichiro Oda's manga and anime characters within the live-action adaptation.

"The extraordinary talent involved in this show has breathed life into these characters in a way that feels both familiar and fresh," Owens shared with Netflix during the production. "Entering a new set and witnessing a new actor embodying another ONE PIECE character—it's a dream come true each and every day." Becoming a Straw Hat for the cast was not merely a matter of donning a costume. Given the devoted fanbase and a franchise with a 26-year history, stepping into character was a profound responsibility they approached with utmost seriousness. Each cast member went to great lengths, whether it meant getting their ears pierced or honing their culinary skills by chopping onions at a restaurant, all in pursuit of truly inhabiting their respective roles.

Their unwavering commitment is yielding remarkable results. The show's TikTok page saw an astounding growth from zero to 630,000 followers in just two weeks, and the social media handles associated with the series have garnered over 1 million followers following the show's launch. Furthermore, more than 10 videos shared on Instagram and TikTok have already amassed over 2 million views each.
