It seems that there is an ongoing big-bore war between big Chinese motorcycle manufacturers. First, Loncin broke the 1200cc barrier earlier this year with their police-only model, the CF1250J Police Special.
Then, Benelli responded with their 3-cylinder, 1209cc 1200GT available to any buyer. Loncin has just fought back with a civilian version of the CF1250J, the 1250TR-G, just launched at the 18th China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition in Chongquing. This grand tourer boasts a massive 1279cc LC-8 engine developed through Loncin’s partnership with Austrian motorcycle manufacturer, KTM. Loncin manufactures some of KTM’s engines intended for small to middleweight motorcycles.
Just like Benelli’s 1200GT though, the 1250TR-G obviously draws a lot of inspiration from BMW’s R 1200 RT grand tourer bike. The 1250TR-G boasts of all-LED lighting, Brembo braking system, massive TFT panel screen, WP shock absorbers, smartphone connectivity, and a multimedia system that includes a JBL stereo system.
The CFMoto 1250TR-G will be available in showrooms starting 2021. The price has yet to be announced.
