During the weekend, Travis Scott graced the stage at E11EVN Miami, coinciding with Miami Race Week. The 32-year-old rapper made a notable entrance, showcasing a fresh pair of Nike Mac Attacks. Back in March, Nike and Social Status had teased enthusiasts with a sneak peek of three distinctive tear-away colorways, resurrecting the cherished 1984 tennis shoe.
What intrigues fans now is whether the Houston-based artist is imparting his unique touch to the Mac Attack silhouette, although confirmation on a potential collaboration slated for later this year remains elusive.
During the event, Scott introduced his Mac Attack footwear for the first time. These kicks arrived in a familiar color scheme of gray and black, reminiscent of the original rendition. However, they sported Travis Scott's signature reverse Swoosh, a hallmark frequently seen in Scott's collaborative efforts with both Nike and Air Jordan. The shoe seemed to boast a blend of mesh and leather in its construction, coupled with a distinctive checkerboard tongue label. Completing the design, the shoe was perched upon a white midsole, complemented by a gray rubber outsole. Whether the "Cactus Jack" branding would make an appearance elsewhere on the shoe remained a subject of uncertainty.
Stay tuned for the official announcement regarding the Travis Scott x Nike Mac Attack release.
