Everyone better work on their advanced conquerors. Also soyjaking imu over joy boy is so so fucking funny actual peak. I feel like imu is revealing a lot of stuff this chapter. I took a look back at the mural in chapter 1138 and it says that during the second world, the forest god tamed devils while and the sun god spread the fires of war. I feel like imu is the forest god and that he is using these devils to fight. 

So, what do we think joyboy's relationship with imu is. It kinda reminds me of hashirama and madara thing now, while i initially thought they'd just straight up be enemies.  

 Makes me wonder if imu and joyboy were allies for a while. Both vegapunk and rayleigh claim that you can come to multiple conclusions upon learning the true history, so it probably wasn't as simple as wg bad, joyboy good.  My personal theory is that joyboy and imu were friends and rulers of their respective kingdoms who had different visions of how to rule joyboy is said to have been the first pirate so he set out to the sea and davy jones was a part of his crew and he betrayed and killed joyboy usurping him. This led imu into a rage against the kingdom now ruled by davy jones leading to the war and eradication of the ancient kingdom and the hunting of d's. Joyboy would have the last laugh in the end though returning in a descendant of the one who betrayed him liberating place after place bringing the world together and overthrowing his old friend to prove that freedom is the better ideology even if it cost him his life.   I think it might be where imu and joyboy's ideals are different leading to their conflict. Imu states that the world is in a state of dominion and states that his dominion is the trinity of corruption, covenant and power which is how he rules his world as he sits atop the throne. But as he says that, for some reason, he just snaps at joyboy. Maybe they had a coversation about this and joyboy said something different? Now, i think joyboy's idea of a dominion is probably wealth, fame and power the same words roger says to start the great pirate era. Roger and his crew are probably the only ppl that know who joyboy was and probably his ideals as well, which might have led roger to use his words to start a different era.

But those ideals might have been the same reason why joyboy lost because it is different from luffy's. I think we can all agree that luffy's dominion is probably wealth, power and freedom (it could be fame, power and freedom as well but luffy literally doesn't want fame when someone credits them as heroes so personally i don't think he wants fame imo), and his dream probably revolves around that as well. Which is probably why luffy will end the dominion of imu and which joyboy couldn't do.
