One Piece Episode 1080: A Celebration Banquet! The New Emperors Of The Sea!

The Wano Country arc in One Piece is drawing to a close, with Luffy and the Straw Hats celebrating their significant victory over Kaido and Big Mom. One Piece Episode 1080's promotional material offers a glimpse into what's on the horizon. The anime has been steadily progressing through the concluding moments of the Wano Country arc, where Luffy and his comrades are on the path to recovery after their most challenging battle yet. However, this victory will have far-reaching consequences in the world.

With Ryokugyu heading to Wano, it's highly likely that the admiral will make his presence felt in Episode 1080, as he seeks to establish control over the country on behalf of the World Government now that Kaido's influence has waned. This is expected to be a formidable encounter, given the formidable might of a Marine admiral. While the specifics of Ryokugyu's abilities remain a mystery to One Piece anime enthusiasts, if he's on par with admirals like Fujitora, Kizaru, and Aokiji, he will undoubtedly pose a significant threat. Additionally, the Straw Hats are still in the process of recuperating from the tumultuous Raid on Onigashima, which could leave them somewhat weaker than usual despite the power-ups they acquired during that arc.

The Four New Emperors Of The Sea!

Fortunately, the Straw Hats will have the support of the people of Wano in this impending battle, including Yamato, Kaido's formidable son who expressed a desire to join Luffy's crew. This development could mark the transition into the next arc of the series and bring an end to one of the anime's lengthiest sagas. Whether Episode 1080 marks the beginning of a new era in One Piece or not, it promises to be an enthralling episode, as it's likely to introduce a formidable new threat for the Straw Hats.

For those eager to watch One Piece Episode 1080, it's scheduled for release on October 22, 2023. The episode can be found on Crunchyroll, and for further updates, stay tuned to MangaSpurs.

One Piece Live Action Cast Updated: Koby, Alvida, Helmeppo, Buggy, Arlong, and Garp

Netflix has revealed additional members of the One Piece cast, including the actors who will play Koby, Alvida, Helmeppo, Buggy, Arlong, and Garp. They will join the cast members revealed last year, headlined by Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy. The most notable of them is Jeff Ward, who will play Buggy the Star Clown, one of the show's main antagonists. He's joined by Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, who plays Alvida, another early antagonist. Ward is best-known for his role in Agents of SHIELD, where he played Deke Shaw, and his more recent role in Hacks.

Elsewhere, Morgan Davies is set to play Koby and Aidan Scott playing Helmeppo. Here's the full list:

    Morgan Davies will play Koby
Ilia Isorelýs Paulino will play Alvida
    Aidan Scott will play Helmeppo
    Jeff Ward will play Buggy
McKinley Belcher III will play Arlong
    Vincent Regan will play Garp

There are still some outstanding characters to potentially be revealed, including Helmeppo's father, Captain Axe-hand Morgan, who is an important early character in the source material. No word on a release date yet, though some speculate it will arrive this summer. The original story continues below. Netflix has revealed the cast for its upcoming One Piece live-action adaptation introducing the core members of the Straw Hat Pirates.

In a series of tweets, Netflix revealed the actors who will be playing Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji. These are the first members who will become known as the Straw Hat Pirates.

The cast includes Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji.

One Piece manga creator Eiichiro Oda, who is serving as executive producer on the series, said in a statement, "We've been working with Netflix and Tomorrow Studios on the massive project that is the Hollywood live-action series adaptation of One Piece! How many years has it been since it was announced, right? I know, I know! But rest assured we've been making steady progress all along!"

Oda's eccentric statement continues by saying, "For now, we're able to announce the main cast! Rather, we need to hurry and announce it or else it'll be leaked, apparently! Hilarious, lol. Their face, the size of their mouths and hands, their aura, the way they carry themselves, their voice, their acting skills, their height, the balance amongst the Straw Hat Crew, etc...! We decided on this cast after numerous discussions involving people around the world! These are the people who will be our Straw Hat Pirates!"

You can check out the cast reaction to their casting in a video below along with a special cast shirt drawn by Oda himself.
