The action sequence with Cerberus is masterfully executed, with the detached heads chasing Loki and the visceral impact of their attack leaving a lasting impression. Loki’s defiance and rage against the Celestial Dragons resonate deeply, reminding us of the systemic injustices that underpin the One Piece world. Meanwhile, Shamrock and Gunko’s strategic retreat and their cryptic conversation about capturing children add an ominous layer to their plans, setting up future conflicts that feel both personal and world-altering.

The shift to Luffy and his group at Aurust Castle is a welcome change of pace, balancing the intensity with some lighthearted moments. Luffy’s unwavering loyalty to Shanks is heartwarming, and his passionate defense of his mentor’s honor showcases his deeply rooted sense of justice and camaraderie. The giants’ mention of Shanks’ brother ties back to Shamrock’s revelation, creating a sense of cohesion in the narrative. Luffy’s humorous aside about Buggy not being part of Shanks’ “family” is classic One Piece comedy, providing a brief but much-needed laugh.

Franky and Ripley’s discovery of the ancient mural on Treasure Tree Adam is a highlight of the chapter, offering tantalizing hints about the Void Century and the interconnected history of the One Piece world. The detailed description of the mural, with its depictions of a mermaid princess, a robot resembling Emeth, and a winged demon, is rich with symbolism and foreshadowing. Ripley’s explanation of the mural’s historical significance and its connection to the Void Century adds depth to the lore, while Franky’s excitement to show Robin the mural underscores the crew’s shared commitment to uncovering the world’s secrets.

The scenes at the Walrus School and Owl Library further enrich the chapter, with Saul’s introduction of the ancient book Harley and its three chapters representing different worlds. Robin’s determination to read the book immediately is a testament to her relentless pursuit of knowledge, and the revelation of the Sun God’s role across the ages ties back to earlier arcs while setting the stage for future developments. The final double-page spread of the mural and the translated text from Harley is nothing short of breathtaking, with its intricate details and cosmic implications leaving readers in awe.

The chapter’s ending, with the prophetic words of Harley hinting at the return of the Sun God and the dawn of a new era, is a perfect cliffhanger that leaves fans eagerly anticipating what’s to come. The seamless blend of action, humor, and lore makes this chapter a standout, and the absence of a break next week is a welcome relief for fans hungry for more. Overall, this chapter is a testament to Eiichiro Oda’s storytelling prowess, delivering a perfect balance of excitement, mystery, and emotional depth that keeps readers hooked from start to finish.

The mural also has what seems like workers taking "something" to a factory. Weapons materials maybe? Themes tend to repeat in the story so maybe this is a weapons factory that uses white lead. Like in laws backstory.

And we probably have an explanation for the two depictions of nika... Each one corresponds to a different nika of an earlier age.

Also at least one lunarian...kozuki looking folk ...

Perhaps more importantly an imu looking guy on top of the elephant like thing. That could explain zuneshas punishment.

A low key bit that caught my attention is fire being drawn on the lower part of the mural.

The winged giant holding the sun... Horns and black wings... Imu? Or something else? But if imu is on zunesha then who is this guy? If there are multiple ages then perhaps imu got to his current station by defeating a previous tyrant... And maybe betraying joyboy rather than defeating him.

Interesting that we don't see Zunesha in that mural🤔 Maybe Zunesha sin is the fact that he wasn't able to join the war because he couldn't cross the redline and that's why he continues to wander the new world as punishment while waiting for a new JoyBoy to show up.

Oda really is the 🐐! I’m so excited to see all the theories that will come from this chapter. I hope we all cherish this time because it’s bittersweet when all is revealed.

Also, i know this chapter was supposed to show off Shamrock a bit but I can’t stop being impressed with Loki. We have never seen a truly talented giant fighter and you just know from all the hype he’s gonna deliver once the chains are off. And do you realize how insane it is that Loki can see while blind?? Fujitora said he wished he didn’t blind himself so he could see luffy. If Loki is actually blind we should be prepared for some god tier level combat observation haki.

On earth there is flame = on earth there is energy
Man overtaken by desire, overtaken by desire, touched upon the Sun. =
Overtaken by desire isn't necessary bad, they desired energy/to achieve a dream. I think here the Sun is the One Piece.
The enslaved prayed = so that energy could help them
The sun god appeared = First Nika
The Deity of Earth is enraged =
I think that is the enemy of First Nika, didn't like the One Piece, was against the natural law of the world or something. Had the power of darkness.

Together with the Serpent of Hell Flame, they engufled the World with death and darkness. =

To defeat Nika and restoring natural law by erasing the Sun/One Piece, he teamed up with a Serpent Demon and with his/her power as Deity of Earth, turned the serpent demon into Redline to divise the world and engufled the Sun/One Piece/Nika into darkness (dark dark fruit origin?); bringing death all over the world.

They can't be met again = World has been divided

2nd World

In emptiness there is breath = Even if there is nothing left, life and dream continue.

The deity of Forest dispatched demon = The being/tree that created devil fruits.

The Sun did nothing but spread seeds of war = The One Piece/Motherflame did nothing to help people, but has brought a clash between to ideology has to how use it transforming into a war

The people of half Moon saw a dream = The D clan has their dream, which I think using the One Piece with the ancient weapons to destroy Redline that destroyed and divided the World in the first war.

The people of the Moon saw a dream = Imu and his clan had their own dream with the One Piece.

Men became god after slaying the Sun = Tenryuunito became god after slaying Nika
The deity of see rampaged = being Imu, who cursed the devil fruit and flooded the World.

They can't be met again = People has been more divided than ever now there is only island with dangerous sea

3rd World

In chaos there is void = there is void as why there is chaos

The troubled shadows remembers = Imu remembers and is troubled by the promised day

The promised day: the foretelling that Nika's gonna come back to defeat him/achieving the D'/Joyboy' dream.

And listen to the sound of the fragmented Moon = follow carefully the emergence of the D dispatched around the World

The Sun God laughs and dances = Luffy appears

Leading the World to its end = Will bring down Redline and the rule of Imu/Tenryuubito on the world they created.

The Sun will return = The One Piece gonna come back

So comes a new morning = World has been in darkness/divided since the First World, so the dawn/morning would be the end of this darkness by using the One Piece.

They will meet again = People gonna be together once again, with the flood and redline being rid of.

Oh boy, this is exciting!

Mankind reached for the forbidden Sun - probably about Lunarians and Mother Flame
Serpent of Hell Flame + Earth God enraged -> Red Line appeared
Forest God dispatched demons -> Devil Fruits appeared
Sea God rampaged -> Grand Line appeared
Troubled shadow remembers the promised day, listens to the sound of fragmented Moon -> Imu is afraid of what's prophesied to come for him, watches out for D people.

Wow this chapter was the definition of dense.

First thoughts.
Shank kind of guessed it be something like that I imagine he went to his family sometime after Rogers death.

And that pointy eared one they mentioned it's probably that race Big mom mentioned that she said was lost to time. Since buccaneers just an offshoot of a giant.

And the mural and the Harley book just EPIC.

I can't imagine how big a mural of Luffy and all his allies will be when they eventually bring the fight to Imu. Probably at least as twice as big as the one here.

Jennie Kim said...

If that's true then the straw hats should take these information seriously
Its high time luffy knows the weight of his role in this world
I hope robin convinces luffy the seriousness of the situation they are in
Its already bigger than just the dreams of the straw hats
They are part of a huge world war
Imagine being recruited by the straw hats and have to carry that massive responsibility
Here i thought this anime was just about getting the one piece. Too much world building led to this
I wasnt prepared for this kind of shit man even naruto and drsgon ball was straight forward
For sure the prolouge of the final war will start in 2027
There are still to many stories lets not forget garp is MIA for sure luffy gotta save grandpa

The people of the half moon and people of the moon, seeing a dream might be the D. clan.

But since we know there's a traitor among the D. and from an illustration of Oda with Blackbeard crying under a half moon, this might refer that him and Xebecs are descendants of the half moon people

Both of them are enemies to the deity of the Forest (Imu?) but their dreams have different interpretations.

- Half moon want to conquer the world
- Full moon want to liberate & unite the world

And the sea rampaging might mean the birth of the devil fruits

Ok, this chapter is wild. It's looking like shamrock's sword is awakened... Which is weird for an animal. Maybe it is indeed a power granted by imu. But I wonder if shamrock has an ability himself.

The book has some crazy stuff in it. Some of it seems clear but some parts are not clear.

The forbidden sun appears to be the motherflame... Gotta wonder why it was forbidden. As if it was inherently dangerous. In any case it appears to be at the root of the cause of the world's past conflicts.

Then it references what appears to be a first appearance of nika. Deity of earth... imu? Or his ancestor?

The serpent of hell flame sounds like an ancient weapon. Perhaps pluto? I wonder if the engulfing involves the creation of the red line.

Deity of forests... I am pretty sure I have heard something like that before. Mother nature? I think there was something caramel said about that.

The sun in this second world I would guess is joyboy. But the framing is less than positive.

People of the half moon and moon... lunarians? The chapter also evidently mentions the rise of tenryubito. I get the impression the world had deities at this point like the mother of nature and earth.. Perhaps a deal between these deities and ancient kings was made to rise them to the level of deities.

In the third world... troubled shadow remembers? Perhaps a reference to the will of d? The fragmented moon is weird. Makes me think of figarland but the sound of it... I am not sure what that is. I suppose it could be the kozuki? I had forgotten but hiyori sings a moon princess song...

“Nika is fighting alongside giants (one of them with horns), samurai, lunarians, minks, a mermaid princess accompanied by sea creatures, angels, a robot similar to Emeth and a lot of ships with humans (one of them seems to be from Arabasta.”

Ah, so Joy Boy must have made himself known to Elbaf, Wano, sky islands, Zou, and Arabasta, in addition to Fish-Man Island, then.

Since One Piece is a flooded world, maybe it might be worth considering the biblical food, or maybe even the Atlantean lore's flood.
The first war causes a massive flood that wipes the majority of the world away, along with their tech. Maybe some of the survivors blast off into space. Maybe the others survive on the first level of high elevation pieces of land.
During void century, maybe the tech that caused the first flood is rediscovered/repurposed and we end up with another situation.
If we assume that Atlantis is the basis for the first flood, and we assume a flood is catastrophic, we have a plausible situation for why the information is so lost.
The information on the first world had to survive two world-wiping events. The giants, with their extremely high land were safe.
If we go further and say that the people who survived the first flood were ones who were far from the battlefield, ie, low information rustic folk, we can further model the information decay that would have happened.
