He never truly underestimated the yonko but he never backed down from a direct confrontation from them either but imu has him concerned on a level we haven't seen since saobody 2 years ago.
And what i really like is that it's less him being afraid of imu and moreso him thinking i have to hurry back and kick this guy's ass because no one else but me is capable of doing so. Bonney saving sanji was so cute to me especially since sanji was helping and saving her in the last arc, it's really endearing to me. But something tell me toei will stretch that simple panel to show to be like: look how weak and pathetic he is, getting saved by a child.
And luffy being nervous is soo crazy, it just shows how imu is on another level.
