BMW Releases Stealthy Black Vermilion Edition X5

BMW has just announced two limited edition SUVs in the form of the Black Vermilion Edition X5 and X6. Both versions are based on their respective X5 xDrive40i and X6 xDrive40i models and receive a paint job that Darth Vader himself would be proud of – Frozen Black Metallic.

This color scheme is contrasted by a striking set of 22” Orbit Grey alloy wheels, a red-highlighted kidney bar grille, and red brake calipers. The aggressive body styling is also afforded by numerous upgrades borrowed from the M Sport line. The elegance also makes its way to the interior with red-stitched merino leather upholstery, an M Alcantara anthracite roof liner, Black Vermilion Edition badging, and a crystal glass application known as Crafted Clarity. The X5 and X6 will be limited to 350 examples (50 if you live in Canada or the U.K.) and will start at $82,300 USD. There’s also a BMW X7 M50i Frozen Black Edition as part of this series but in extremely limited numbers. Those interested can head over to BMW to order now where delivery is expected to take place in September.

2020 Toyota Harrier Hybrid : Know About Launch Date, Specs, Mileage, Review, And All Information !!!

2020 Toyota Harrier is the fourth generation that is equipped with a hybrid powertrain, and the facelift has got a few exterior and interior updates.

The 2020 Harrier went on sale in Japan a few weeks back and received a tremendous response, and it garnered about 45,000 reservations in a short period. According to reports, the order tally is fifteen times more than that of the estimated monthly volume target of 3,100 units. This will, however, lead to a long waiting period of up to five months.

The 2020 Toyota Harrier, is the Japanese brand’s mid-size crossover SUV that is priced between 2,990,000 yen (Rs. 21.25 lakh) and 5,040,000 yen (Rs. 35.83 lakh) for the entry-level 2.0L S version and the 2.5L E-Four Z Hybrid trim with Leather package respectively.
The E-Four variant comes with 222 PS maximum power. The 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated Dynamic Force engine is paired with a CVT automatic transmission.

Toyota has also given two Modellista body kits for the 2020 Harrier called Gran Blaze and Avant Emotional. The former gets skirts up front, side, and the rear with metallic grey or chrome accents while the Avant Emotional features hidden exhaust pipes.

The Gran Blaze is equipped with quad rectangular exhaust pipes alongside illuminated LED front grille, chrome-trimmed bonnet, mirrors, and tailgate.

Will Nissan Ariya be Able to Hold its Ground Against Tesla Model Y?

Nissan has unveiled its second all-electric vehicle, which is Ariya, a crossover. The Ariya was first showcased in the Nissan IMx concept at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show. Following the launch, the Nissan Ariya will rival against the champ Tesla Model Y.

Nissan Ariya is the biggest electric vehicle launch, by the Japanese Automotive manufacturer since Nissan Leaf. There are few all-electric SUVs available currently, and even fewer non-luxury options. Aside from the Ariya, EV buyers can choose from the Hyundai Kona Electric and Kia Niro EV. While on the premium luxury side, the Nissan Ariya can hinder the peace of Tesla Model S, Audi E-Tron, and Jaguar I-Pace. There are a few more coming soon, including the Ford Mustang Mach-E.

Powertrain and Range

Nissan announced two battery versions – 65 kWh (63 kWh usable) and 90 kWh (87 kWh usable), two drive options (front-wheel drive, and e-4ORCE all-wheel drive), as well as several power levels (from 160 kW to 290 kW peak).

The battery pack has received an active thermal management system, which finally includes liquid-cooling. That’s a major improvement from the LEAF. The Ariya ditches the old cells for prismatic lithium-ion cells. The motor used by the crossover is an Externally Excited Synchronous Motor (ESM), which suggests a major switch from permanent magnet motors used so far by Nissan.

The Nissan Ariya can be availed depending on various promised range models, which include:

  • up to around 300 miles (483 km) in the U.S.
  • roughly from 360 km (224 miles) to 500 km (311 miles) of WLTP in Europe
  • roughly from 450 km (280 miles) to 610 km (379 miles) of WLTC in Japan.

The top of the line versions will be able to go 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.1 seconds and reach the top speed of 200 km/h (124 mph). The Nissan Ariya could be picked from Nissan showroom from 2021 and is expected to cost around $40,000 (USD)

Inside, the electric crossover will make it a far better car than the LEAF. The center will host a 12.3-inch infotainment display, along with a 12.3-inch instrument monitor, plus a heads-up display (HUD). ProPilot 2.0 will provide hands-off single-lane highway driving capability to the Ariya. The seat, steering wheel position, and auto-sliding center console are all adjusted based on the saved driver profile linked with the Intelligent Key.
