Ragnir being frigging mad at imu is both hilarious and meaningful, i feel like.
And it's confirmed that ragnir is a hammer that ate the ratatoskr fruit (that seemed the most likely case, good to have it confirmed).
That squirrel knows thing. I bet it recognized nika as well. I wonder if loki can understand ragnir? If so, ragnir might be able to point imu's weaknesses.
Imu is a man stuck in the past. Look at how happy he is to see nidhoggr and ragnir, even if they're 'traitors'. The interpersonal dynamics of the great war and the void century are going to be fascinating.
Zoro noticed something incredibly interesting; imu, under the guise of the black flames, was throwing normal steel balls and bombs. Taken along with the steel hearts of the god's knights, this points more and more to the idea that imu and im's abilities are at least partially based on advanced technology, and not df magic (or any other kind of magic). Given we know about the automata from the moon, and of course franky, this isn't even that far-fetched a notion.
And you know where my mind immediately goes when it comes to the combination of technology and regeneration? That's right, son.
Nanomachines.
And you know what messes with nanomachines?
Lightning and water/ice.
What if imu's body's weakness is not because of some esoteric vulnerability, but because of the very simple fact of air pressure? The inner workings of imu's transformed body cannot withstand the increased air pressures of the surface. (and honestly, there's no reason it can't be both a technical and a magical reason)
Now i'm just theorizing, so moving on...
So, zaza. Not mentioned by name as far as i can remember, though a rain god was mentioned way back in skypiea. The part about rain being a boogeyman of the cds is a great little touch by oda. Makes so much sense in retrospect. It's these little things that really shine in worldbuilding.
The question is then, was the boogeyman actually rain? Or was it a long-forgotten warning about the wielder of the fruit of the rain god, opposed to the 'great one' and the celestial order?
Also, what're the chances nami is going to come and use zeus to really put the fear of rain into killingham's rotten heart?
Great little moment between sanji and zoro, showing their deep faith in each other's abilities. And sanji showcases both aspects of his personality, the courageous hero and the ever-ready pervert.
So, what's up with biblos? Is he another mythical zoan wielder? Are there any mythical owls with shrinking powers out there?
Minor note: i did not understand the ultra-rare gerd jokes. I'm guessing it's a jab at figure collectors? Do they like their figurines to be imperfect in some way or something? Like a misprinted stamp?
