Brian Austin Green Sparks Romance Rumors With ‘DWTS’ Pro Sharna Burgess

Brian Austin Green may have a new love interest in his life.

The 47-year-old actor and “Dancing with the Stars” pro Sharna Burgess were spotted in photos obtained by the Daily Mail at Los Angeles airport together dancing to Christmas music while waiting on-line to purchase food.

The duo then boarded a flight together to an unknown destination, according to the report.

While neither one has confirmed their romance or shared any photos yet on social media, Sharna did reveal that she was in a new relationship recently.

“I actually am not on the market anymore. But it’s very new and very, you know, it’s dating, essentially. No one’s calling us a relationship yet,” the Australian dancer told Us Weekly. Adding, “How funny would it be if I actually found the love of my life during a pandemic?”

The “Beverly Hills, 90210″ star filed for divorce from estranged wife Megan Fox the day before Thanksgiving and requested joint legal and physical custody of their three children, according to a court filing obtained by Access Hollywood.

Megan filed her own divorce petition on the same day and cited irreconcilable differences as the cause of their split.

In May, Brian revealed on his own podcast that he and his longtime love had decided to part ways after nearly a decade of marriage.

Brian and Megan first met back on the set of “Hope & Faith” in 2004 when she was 18 and he was 30. After years of off-and-on dating and a broken engagement, the pair got married in 2010.

The “Jennifer’s Body” star filed for divorce five years later in 2015, but she and Brian later reconciled before welcoming their youngest child Journey.

They share three children together Noah, 8, Bodhi, 6, and Journey, 4.

Amy Schumer Weighs In On Hilaria Baldwin's Accent Controversy

Amy Schumer is poking fun at the controversy surrounding Hilaria Baldwin.

On Dec. 27, the comedian—who recently made headlines with her Hilaria-inspired holiday card—took to Instagram to seemingly react to claims on social media stating that the yoga instructor is faking her Spanish accent. In a since-deleted post, Amy could be seen posing in a large hat and sunglasses alongside the caption, "I get it. I went to Spain a couple times and loved it too." She also added a cucumber emoji.

Earlier in the day, Alec Baldwin took to social media to defend his wife amid claims about her accent. In a lengthy video, the 30 Rock alum told slammed the speculation, saying, "There's things that have been said lately about people that I love, that I care about deeply, which are ridiculous. I mean, just ridiculous."

Hilaria herself also addressed the backlash—sparked by a viral Twitter thread which also alleged she went by the name Hillary while growing up in Massachusetts—with a video message. "If I've been speaking a lot of Spanish, I tend to mix them and if I'm speaking more English...then I mix that," she said in part. "It's one of those things that's always been a little bit, I've been a little insecure about."

"I try to speak more clearly in each language," she added. "I think that that's something that I should try to do but sometimes I mess it up and it's not something that I'm like, playing at, so I want that to be very, very, very clear."

The mom of five went on to ask her haters to simply leave her alone. "There's nothing wrong with me and I'm not going to apologize for the amount of time that I spent in two countries," she said. "And I'm not going to apologize for the fact that I speak two languages and I'm not going to apologize for the fact that I have two versions of my name."

It was just days ago, on Dec. 22, that Hilaria addressed haters over her recent photo debacle with Amy Schumer. As fans of the Trainwreck star may recall, Amy jokingly reposted a photo of Hilaria—showing the author in a bra and underwear cradling her newborn, Eduardo—and used it as her holiday card. "Gene and I wanted to wish everyone a happy holiday season," Amy captioned the repost. "Enjoy it with whatever family members are talking to you this year."

In response, Hilaria admitted that she didn't really understand the joke but noted that she wasn't upset with Amy. She also posted a video addressing body shamers and championing body inclusivity. After Amy apologized to her, Hilaria replied, "Girl, don't even apologize! You always make me laugh [heart emoji]. My only intentions were to address some of the not so namaste behavior some people went running wild with after. You don't need to take responsibility for their actions. Much love and light xoxo."

Lori Loughlin released from prison after serving 2 months behind bars for role in college admissions scandal

Lori Loughlin was released from prison on Monday after serving two months for her role in the national college admissions scandal that exposed the rich and famous engaging in illegal schemes to cheat on standardized tests and buy their kids into some of the country's top schools.

A spokesperson at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Dublin, Calif. confirmed Loughlin's release to Fox News.

The "Full House" alum was originally given a release date of Sunday, Dec. 27, prompting speculation that she would be released a few days early, just in time for Christmas, per Program Statement 5140.36, which stipulates that inmates who are scheduled to be released on a weekend or legal holiday instead be released on the last preceding weekday. However, over a month into her prison stay, her release date was pushed to Monday.

Loughlin's release comes as her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, continues to serve his five-month prison sentence at a federal facility in Lompoc, Calif. Both defendants were ordered to report to their respective prisons no later than Nov. 19. Loughlin began her sentence early, checking in at FCI Dublin on Oct. 30.

FCI Dublin is a low-security federal prison for roughly 1,200 female inmates. It is the same facility where "Desperate Housewives" actress Felicity Huffman served 11 days of a planned two-week sentence for similar crimes.

The actress was handed a two-month term behind bars in August after she and her fashion designer husband pleaded guilty to charges stemming from $500,000 payments to scam mastermind William "Rick" Singer to get their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Giannulli, recruited onto University of Southern California's crew team. The two had never participated in the sport.

Loughlin's release means she's one step closer to putting the nationwide scandal behind her, although it's important to note her sentence isn't officially complete now that she's been released. In their plea agreement, Loughlin, agreed to serve two months and pay a $150,000 fine along with two years of supervised release and 100 hours of community service. Giannulli, meanwhile, was ordered to pay a $250,000 fine with two years of supervised release and 250 hours of community service in addition to a five-month prison sentence.

While it is currently unknown if Loughlin plans to publicly speak about her time in prison, reports during her stay revealed she suffered a "weepy" first night behind bars before establishing somewhat of a routine while there. Last month, a source told Us Weekly that the Hallmark star regularly attended church services at the institution and had even formed "several" friendships with other inmates.

For the most part, though, Loughlin managed to keep to herself as much as she could as she feared she would contract the novel coronavirus, according to reports. Meanwhile, Giannulli is reportedly being held in protective custody at a federal prison in Lompoc due to the ongoing global health crisis. A legal source told People that it's a reaction to the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department tallying 1,038 coronavirus cases and four coronavirus-related deaths within the prison as of Dec 19.

During Loughlin's lock-up, her eldest daughter Olivia Jade, 21, made headlines for her first-ever interview about the nationwide scandal. Speaking to Jada Pinkett Smith on the "Red Table Talk," Olivia spoke up about her parents serving prison time, not being angry at them and the backlash she faced online because of her privilege.

In this Feb. 28, 2019 file photo, actress Lori Loughlin, center, poses with daughters Olivia Jade Giannulli, left, and Isabella Rose Giannulli at the 2019 "An Unforgettable Evening" in Beverly Hills, Calif. Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were charged along with nearly 50 other people Tuesday in a scheme in which wealthy parents bribed college coaches and other insiders to get their children into some of the most elite schools in the country, federal prosecutors said.  (Chris Pizzello/Invision/AP)

"It's been hard, I think, for anybody," the former University of Southern California student admitted. "No matter what the situation is, you don't want to see your parents go to prison. But I think it's necessary for us to move on and move forward."

Olivia described feeling "embarrassed" and "ashamed" when the bribery scandal broke in March 2019. She also claimed she's since learned from her family's "mistake."

She described: "I think that what hasn't been super public is that there is no justifying or excusing what happened because what happened was wrong. And I think every single person in my family can be like, 'That was messed up. That was a big mistake.' But I think what's so important to me is to learn from the mistake, not to now be shamed and punished and never given a second chance because I'm 21. I feel like I deserve a second chance to redeem myself, to show I've grown."

Loughlin voiced similar regrets during her Aug. 22 sentencing hearing. Appearing in the court conference via Zoom, the actress said she was "profoundly sorry" for her actions. When addressing the judge, she forced back tears as she apologized.

"I made an awful decision. I went along with a plan to give my daughters an unfair advantage in the college admissions process and in doing so I ignored my intuition and allowed myself to be swayed from my moral compass," she said. "I have great faith in God, and I believe in redemption and I will do everything in my power to redeem myself and use this experience as a catalyst to do good."

The prison sentences put an end to more than a year of legal battles for Loughlin and Giannulli. The married couple initially pleaded not guilty to expanded charges of bribery brought against them last October along with 11 other parents swept up in the scandal. In May, the duo shocked many when they changed course and agreed to plead guilty as Huffman did in 2019.

In addition to the sentence, Loughlin was fired from roles on both Netflix's "Fuller House" and Hallmark's "When Calls the Heart" after her role in the scandal came to light in 2019.

Disney+ heats up competition in the Latin American SVoD market

Amid strong expectation, Disney launched its OTT video service platform, Disney+, in Latin America and the Caribbean on 17 November, as part of its ambitious global expansion plan.

The SVoD platform, which arrives to the region after a successful reception in the US, Western Europe and Southeast Asia-Pacific, is available at US$5.99 per month, although clients can also access the platform for an annual discounted fee of US$59.99.

As part of its distribution strategy, Disney is setting up partnerships with a number of telecom operators, pay-TV and media service providers across the region, such as Telecom Argentina/Cablevision, Izzi (Televisa), Globoplay in Brazil, America Movil (Claro) and Telefonica among others. These agreements will allow operators to offer the service with monthly subscription discounts and/or extended trial periods.

GlobalData estimates that SVoD unique subscription household penetration in Latin America will reach 23.6% at year-end 2020, expanding to 33.3% by 2024. Global players such as Netflix and Amazon Video, for instance, have been investing on the production of local content over the last several years, while Disney+ includes Disney’s existing catalog of locally produced series and is working on several local productions.

Zayn Malik adorably rests his head on Gigi Hadid's baby bump in these UNSEEN pregnancy photos

Gigi Hadid took to Instagram and shared never-before-seen photos from her pregnancy days. One of the photos sees Zayn Malik resting his head on her baby bump.

Over two months after Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik welcomed their daughter, the supermodel took to Instagram and shared a few never-before-seen photos from her pregnancy days. Through the period, Gigi opted to keep her pregnancy away from the spotlight. Although she gave us a look at her growing baby bump via an Instagram Live in the summer, she shared minimal photos from the phase. However, Gigi has now shared three new photos from the late summer and it features Zayn Malik.

In the photo featuring the former One Direction singer, the Pillow Talk crooner rested his head on the baby bump. The singer had his eyes locked with Gigi while the duo smiled at each other. Gigi donned a white ensemble while Zayn sported a messy hairdo. In the other two photos from the post, Gigi posed solo, putting her growing baby bump on full display. The model shared the photos with the caption revealing that they were clicked in August as ZiGi counted down the days to their daughter's arrival. "August, waiting for our girl," she wrote.

A few weeks since the photos were taken, Gigi and Zayn welcomed their daughter in New York City. Baby ZiGi was born on September 23, 2020. The couple hasn't disclosed their daughter's name yet. But they have shared glimpses of the little one on numerous occasions. This includes the family's first Halloween together. More recently, Gigi's mother Yolanda Hadid took to her Instagram Stories and shared a picture of Gigi kissing her daughter. Check out the photo in the link below.

Rihanna Wears A Puffer Coat And Lingerie For Savage X Fenty's December Campaign

So far, 2020 has not brought us new music from Rihanna, but it has brought us many a Savage X Fenty campaign, and for that, we are grateful. For the lingerie brand's December campaign, Rihanna herself wears white latex thigh-high boots, along with Savage X Fenty's Plush Velvet Tie Front Bra and Plush Velvet Peek-A-Boo Tie Back Sleep Short.

The upcoming collection will drop on Tuesday, Dec. 1, with new styles and a new XTRA VIP box, which includes a push-up bra, side-tie sleep shorts, and a cut-out panty with a velvet rose print.

It's been a good year for Savage X Fenty. Megan Thee Stallion recently starred in its holiday campaign, curating a special collection of gift-worthy lingerie pieces, and in October, the brand debuted its first men's collection during the Savage X Fenty Vol. 2 Show. After the event, which featured Lizzo wearing a blue lace lingerie set, searches for "blue lingerie" immediately spiked 96 percent, while searches for the brand increased 101 percent.

Rihanna tapped Savage X Fenty model Christian Combs as the ambassador for the men's collection, which as of now is, unsurprisingly, sold out.

"I wanted to create menswear styles that everyone can wear," said Rihanna. "And after Christian did such a great job at the 2019 fashion show wearing men's, I knew we had to have him as a collaborator."

Check out Rihanna in the Savage X Fenty December campaign, below, and shop it on Tuesday, Dec. 1, on the brand's website.

Abby Dalton, Actress on 'Falcon Crest' and 'The Joey Bishop Show,' Dies at 88

The Emmy nominee also starred on 'Hennesey,' played Calamity Jane on the big screen and was an original panelist on 'The Hollywood Squares.'

Abby Dalton, the bubbly actress who starred on the 1960s sitcoms Hennesey and The Joey Bishop Show before portraying the scheming winery heiress Julia Cumson on the primetime soap Falcon Crest, has died. She was 88.

Dalton died Nov. 23 in Los Angeles after a long illness, her family announced.

Dalton began her career appearing in several Roger Corman movies, including The Saga of the Viking Women and Their Voyage to the Waters of the Great Sea Serpent (1957), and was an original and longtime panelist on The Hollywood Squares, which premiered on NBC in 1966.

She worked for two seasons (1967-69) on the CBS sketch comedy program The Jonathan Winters Show and portrayed Calamity Jane opposite Don Murray and Guy Stockwell in The Plainsman (1966), a remake of the classic Gary Cooper-Jean Arthur 1936 Western.

She also played the wife of Hal Linden's character in the pilot for the ABC comedy Barney Miller but was replaced by Barbara Barrie when the show was picked up as a midseason replacement in January 1975.

From 1981-86, Dalton starred as the older daughter of Jane Wyman's Angela Channing and mother of Lorenzo Lamas' lazy playboy Lance Cumson on the CBS primetime soap opera Falcon Crest, created by Earl Hamner Jr. and set in the Napa Valley.

Oppressed by her domineering mom, Julia winds up psychologically disturbed, shoots two people, escapes from a psychiatric hospital run by nuns, presumably dies in a cabin fire and then goes to live in a convent early in the sixth season, never to be seen on the series again.

Born Marlene Wasden in Las Vegas on Aug. 15, 1932, Dalton worked as a model and a dancer at the Sands Hotel in her hometown and at the Moulin Rouge in Hollywood.

She made her onscreen debut for Corman in Rock All Night (1957), followed by Teenage Doll (1957), Carnival Rock (1957), The Saga of the Viking Women — as Desir, the leader of a group of women who take to the high seas in search of their missing men — and Stakeout on Dope Street (1958).

"I was never really fond of any of [those films], quite honestly," she told the Los Angeles Times in 1988. "I was so naive and such a novice. The first time I ever walked on to a soundstage was to play the lead in one of his films."

She also kept busy with guest-starring turns on such shows as Have Gun — Will Travel, Rawhide, Maverick, The Rifleman and Mike Hammer before landing on the CBS comedy Hennesey. She played Martha Hale, a Navy nurse and girlfriend of Jackie Cooper's doctor character, and received an Emmy nomination in 1961. (After three seasons, the couple got married on the final episode in 1962.)

Soon after the Hennesey nuptials, Dalton joined NBC's The Joey Bishop Show as Ellie Barnes, the newlywed wife of Bishop's TV show host character, for its second season. In 1963, Ellie gave birth to a son played by Dalton's real-life infant, Matthew David Smith; later, Ellie and Joey had another child, and that was Dalton's daughter, Kathleen.

Dalton also appeared on episodes of My Three Sons, Nanny and the Professor, Police Story and The Waltons and in the William Shatner-starring A Whale of a Tale (1976) before Falcon Crest beckoned. She did little acting after leaving the CBS series.

Dalton was always fun to have on game shows; in addition to The Hollywood Squares, she was a frequent player on iterations of The $25,000 Pyramid, Password, Match Game and Body Language.

An avid skier, accomplished equestrian and ranked amateur celebrity tennis player, she was a major supporter of the Mammoth Lakes Foundation, a nonprofit that promotes higher education and cultural enrichment in the Mammoth area.

Her daughter, Kathleen Kinmont, was married to Lamas (her mom introduced them) and starred with the son of Arlene Dahl on the '90s TV show Renegade. (Kinmont later married and divorced actor Jere Burns).

In addition to her daughter, survivors include her husband of 60 years, Jack D. Smith; their sons Matthew and John; grandchildren Mac, Jack and Ayden Grace; and great-grandson Mathias.

Kelsea Ballerini Rocks Sexy Red Mini DressFor ‘Santa Baby’ Performance On CMACountry Christmas

Kelsea Ballerini slayed in a gorgeous, holiday-inspired look when she hit the stage to sing during 2020’s ‘CMA Country Christmas ‘on Nov. 30.

The holiday season is upon us, and Kelsea Ballerini helped us get in the spirt with her performance during CMA Country Christmas on Nov. 30. The country star sang a rendition of “Santa Baby,” and added to the sultry vibe of the performance with a sexy look. She wore a strapless red mini dress, which put her toned and tanned legs on display. The look was complete with bright red lipstick and her hair in loose waves.

Kelsea Ballerini is ravishing in red for CMA Country Christmas. (ABC)

Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic, CMA Country Christmas had to be filmed without a live audience this year. Thomas Rhett and his wife, Lauren Akins, hosted the intimate gathering, which featured country singers performing holiday classics, as well as some original hits. Other performers at the event included Dan + Shay, Gabby Barrett, Tim McGraw, Florida Georgia Line and more.

CMA Country Christmas comes just weeks after the 2020 CMA Awards, where Kelsea also performed. She was added to the performance list at the last minute, and absolutely owned the night when she hit the stage to sing “Hole In The Bottle.” In October, Kelsea also rocked out to her song, “The Other Girl,” at the CMT Awards. She was joined by Halsey for the sexy, Coyote Ugly-themed performance.

While 2020 kept artists off the road due to restrictions on gatherings amidst the coronavirus, Kelsea has definitely managed to keep busy. She released her third album in March, just days after the country went on lockdown. Over the summer, she recorded stripped-down versions of every song on the record and released a second version in September. Kelsea also teamed up with Shania Twain to drop a remix of “Hole In The Bottle” earlier this month.

On top of all of that, she and her husband, Morgan Evans, moved into a new home in Nashville. After several weeks of packing up their previous house, they’re now working on settling into their new place. What a ride!

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Are Reportedly Dating After Months of Romance Rumors

After months (OK, years) of romance rumors, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky just might be Hollywood's newest couple. On Nov. 30, People exclusively revealed that a source told the outlet that the longtime pals are dating.

The news comes shortly after they were spotted having dinner with friends this past weekend. While the Fenty Beauty founder and rapper have sparked countless dating rumors over the years, neither of the stars have confirmed any romance.

Rihanna reportedly split from Hassan Jameel back in January, after dating the businessman for nearly three years. However, the duo never addressed their breakup. Rihanna and A$AP are not only friends, but also frequent collaborators — the rapper appeared in Rihanna's Fenty Skin campaign back in July alongside Lil Nas X. Here's hoping we get an official confirmation of their reported romance soon!

Russia may send in 2027 mission to Venus to study biomarkers in atmosphere

A global group of space experts with the help of high-power telescopes in Hawaii and Chile to find an uncommon atom on Venus. Phosphine— is observed in the mists around the planet.

The disclosure could be a trace of life, a biomarker, on a planet known for its appalling condition and volcanic surface. At the same time, a lot of exploration needs to occur before anything gets confirmed about it. The declaration has come to sweeten the deal even further for the many missions that could investigate one of Earth’s nearest planetary neighbours sooner rather than later.

Each nation from the European Space Agency and past Soviet Union along with the US has sent missions to Venus. In the course of the most recent couple of many years—there have been more than 40 such missions. In 1962, US space organization Nasa’s profound space probe Mariner 2. It became the leading shuttle to direct an effective planetary flyby. It likewise sent back temperature readings and other data about Venus.

FUTURE MISSION ON VENUS: It won’t be as simple as they look

While the surface condition of Venus is hot, dry and cruel, the mists are of concentrated sulphuric corrosive. “So any vehicle we send there must need to withstand the corrosive condition,” clarifies Grinspoon, portraying the declaration on phosphine as “an energizing turn of events. Rebel Wilson reveals she’s only 6 pounds away from her goal weight, dubs herself ‘Fit Amy’

Rebel Wilson is only 6 pounds away from her goal weight for her “year of health.”

The actress opened up about the hard work she’s been putting into exercising in a candid post on Sunday.

Wilson, 40, later dubbed herself “Fit Amy,” a reference to her “Pitch Perfect” character Patricia Hobart that had her friends call her Fat Amy.

“Happy Sunday everyone!” the actress captioned a post of her on a hike. “This week was super busy but I got up super early 3 times (6am) and went on a hike…even did a couple of 100m sprints to get the heart rate even higher (although my ‘sprint’ is probably someone else’s ‘slow jog’)”

Wilson added: “But I felt proud of myself and now only 3kg’s away from my goal weight! Rebs x”

She later posted a photo of herself eating dessert captioned, “Remember though girls, you still gotta treat yourself (I just do it with food now only once or twice a week...and substitute bubble baths on alternate nights).”

In another photo the “Isn’t It Romantic?” star shared a selfie and wrote, “Just call me: Fit Amy.”

Former “Bachelorette” Becca Kufrin commented, “She’s movin on up from horizontal running!,” a reference to “Pitch Perfect.”

“Ayyyy FIT AF PATRICIA!,” Wilson’s co-star Alexis Knapp commented.

Many fans told the Australian star that they loved her body before and after she embarked on her weight loss journey.

“Loved you then .. love you now,” a fan said. Another wrote, “Beautiful regardless of size.”

One commenter added: “Beautiful before. Beautiful now.”

Wilson’s latest weight loss update comes only a few months after she said she only had  8kgs, roughly 17 to 18 pounds, to lose in order to reach her goal weight.

“Hopefully I can do it by the end of the year,” the “Hustle” star said in August.

Shania Twain Cuddles Her Husband Frédéric Thiébaud in a Rare Photo

Shania Twain at Los Angeles Zoo on March 08, 2020 in Los Angeles, California.

In the first snap, the Queen of Country Pop is seen wrapping her arms around Thiébaud while flashing a smile directly at the camera. Thiébaud, on the other hand, looks down at the love of his life.

The next photo shows Twain drawing nearer to Thiébaud while the couple both looked at the camera. The singer looked stunning in a black T-shirt, which featured a graphic print across the front.

Twain wrapped herself up in a white blazer jacket and matched her outfit with black leather pants. Meanwhile, Thiébaud looked smart in a black tuxedo with lace-up leather shoes.

The adorable photos were taken from the couple's recent public appearance at the 2020 Zurich Film Festival. The festival's primary focus is to promote emerging filmmakers from all over the world.

The pictures racked up over 42,000 likes on the popular photo and video-sharing social networking service as of this writing. Fans also gushed over their teenage-like love, with one person commenting that they look so wonderful together.

The loved-up couple has quite an unusual romantic tale. Twain was first married to Robert John "Mutt" Lange, a Zambian-born South African record producer and songwriter recognized for producing many of rock's most successful albums.

However, Lange's alleged relationship with Twain's best friend named Marie-Anne Thiébaud led to the end of their marriage. Marie-Anne's husband, Thiébaud, was the first person who informed Twain about the devastating news.

Both hurt by their spouses' infidelity, Twain and Thiébaud bonded until they fell in love with each other. The pair became engaged in December 2010.

A month later, they exchanged their wedding vows in Rincón, Puerto Rico. These days, the "That Don't Impress Me Much" singer can say that she has found the right man.

Thiébaud gives her love and unconditional support, especially in her cherished career. Twain discovered success by combining pop and country music.

The multi-awarded singer, who has sold in excess of 100 million records, turned into a global star following the release of her 1997 album "Come On Over."

Meanwhile, Twain recently gave her fans uplifting statements amid the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic, telling them that they would get past this challenge soon.

Markets react to Trump’s diagnosis

US stocks ended a choppy session lower on Friday as investors reacted to news of President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump testing positive for the coronavirus. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 134.09 points, 0.5 percent, to 27,682.81, with the S&P 500 index retreating 32.36 points, or 1 percent, to 3,348.44. The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 251.49 points, or 2.2 percent, to end the day at 11,075.02.

European markets meanwhile closed higher, reversing earlier losses and capping another volatile week as the closing bell struck before the wave of selling overtook their peers across the Atlantic. The pan-European STOXX 600 index added 0.3 percent and the UK’s FTSE 100 gained 0.4 percent. Investors held onto hopes of more US stimulus after data emerged showing September Job Growth slowing more than expected in the world’s largest economy.

Maltese markets ended lower, with the MSE Equity Total Return Index closing down 0.33 percent to €7,276.329 on very thin volumes. Only three equities traded, with Bank of Valletta Plc closing unchanged, while Trident Estates Plc dropped 3.33 percent to €1.45 and Malta International Airport Plc lost 2.54 percent to €4.60.

Trump’s recovery from COVID-19

All eyes are currently on how a potential deterioration in President Donald Trump’s health could impact asset prices in coming weeks, as the U.S. leader remains hospitalized after being diagnosed with COVID-19. Many investors are concerned that a serious decline in Trump’s health less than a month before Americans go to the polls on the 3rd of November could roil a U.S. stock market that recently notched its worst monthly performance since its selloff in March while causing turbulence in other assets.

Trump’s diagnosis has intensified the spotlight on the fiscal stimulus talks in Washington, with investors saying agreement on another aid package could act as a stabilizing force on markets in the face of election-related uncertainty.

U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat, said on Friday that negotiations were continuing, but she is waiting for a response from the White House on key areas.

'Like wolves to Yellowstone': Tasmanian devils released on Australian mainland

Tasmanian devils have been exinct on Australia's mainland for thousands of years

Tasmanian devils have been released into the wild on Australia's mainland 3,000 years after the feisty marsupials went extinct there, in what conservationists described Monday as a "historic" step.

Aussie Ark, along with a coalition of other conservation groups, revealed Monday that they had released 26 of the carnivorous mammals into a 400-hectare (1,000-acre) sanctuary at Barrington Tops, about 3.5 hours north of Sydney.

Tim Faulkner, president of Aussie Ark, said the "historic" releases in July and September were the first steps in a project akin to the successful move to return wolves to Yellowstone National Park in the United States in the 1990s.

After 16 years of work, including the establishment of mainland Australia's largest Tasmanian devil breeding programme, Faulkner said it was "incredible and surreal" to have reached the goal.

"It's the stuff dreams are made of," he told AFP.

"Our biggest native mainland predator is the tiger quoll—and they're just over a kilo—so to be bringing back something of this enormity is huge."

Tasmanian devils, which weigh up to 8 kilograms (18 pounds) and have a black or brown coat, typically prey on other native animals or scavenge carcasses.

According to government environmental authorities, devils are not dangerous to humans or livestock but will defend themselves if attacked and can cause serious injury.

Actors Chris Hemsworth (L) and Elsa Pataky helped release the animals at a sanctuary in New South Wales

The animals—known for their extremely loud growl, powerful jaws and ferocity when confronting rivals over food or mates—are classified as endangered after a contagious facial tumour disease ravaged the remaining population on the Australian island state of Tasmania.

It is estimated that fewer than 25,000 Tasmanian devils still live in the wild, down from as many as 150,000 before the mysterious, fatal disease first struck in the mid-1990s.

On Australia's mainland, they are believed to have been wiped out by packs of dingoes—wild dogs native to the vast continent—an estimated 3,000 years ago.

"So there's more than the devil at stake here."

Aussie Ark selected the reintroduced devils for their breeding suitability, placing them in the sprawling, fenced area in the hopes of warding off threats to their survival including feral pests, noxious weeds and cars.

"We've put young, healthy devils in, we put them in now which gives them the best part of six months to settle, find their territory (and) prepare for breeding" which usually occurs in February, Faulkner said.

Another 40 are set to be released over the next two years into the sanctuary, which is on land bought by Aussie Ark for its habitat suitability, high number of herbivores and location near a national park.

"The land initially was selected because it's just like a slice of Tasmania," Faulkner said.

He said he was confident that close monitoring as the Tasmanian devils make the "massive transition" back to the wild—where they have no supplied food, water or shelter for the first time in their lives—would ensure the programme's early success.

As part of the "ambitious" rewilding scheme, Aussie Ark plans to eventually introduce more of the animals to unfenced areas, where they will contend with a much greater range of new threats including the country's notorious bushfires.

The Tasmanian devil is one of seven cornerstone species critical to Australia's ecosystem that Aussie Ark plans to reintroduce to the wild sanctuary in the coming years, along with quolls, bandicoots and rock wallabies.

Lenny Kravitz Explains His ‘Love’ for Jason Momoa

In a new Men's Health cover story, rock star Lenny Kravitz opened up about his relationship with movie star Jason Momoa. In 2017, Momoa married Kravitz's ex-wife, actress Lisa Bonet. "Literally the moment we met, we were like, ‘Oh, yeah. I love this dude'," he says.

It can be difficult for some to see an ex-spouse move on and marry someone else—but not Lenny Kravitz. In a new Men's Health cover story, the rock star opened up about his relationship with Jason Momoa, the movie star and—since 2017—husband to Kravitz's ex-wife, Lisa Bonet.

Kravitz and Bonet were married between 1987 and 1993; their only child, actress/model Zoë Kravitz, was born in 1988.

“People can’t believe how tight Jason and I are, or how tight I still am with Zoë’s mom, how we all relate,” Kravitz says. “We just do it because that’s what you do."

Momoa and Kravitz aren't shy about how fond they are of one another, and that includes quite a bit of social media crossposting. In August, Kravitz wished Momoa Happy Birthday on his Instagram, posting a photo of the two together at Zoë's 2019 wedding to actor Karl Glusman.

Kravitz made it clear that he held no grudges; with his ex-wife, time just had to take its course. But with her new husband, he knew from the get-go they were going to get along.

"You let love rule, right? I mean, obviously, after a breakup, it’s work—it takes some work and time, healing and reflection, et cetera," he said. "But as far as Jason and I? Literally the moment we met, we were like, ‘Oh, yeah. I love this dude.’ ”

In 2018, Momoa posted a photo of the two together after Kravitz came to see Momoa make his debut hosting Saturday Night Live; in the photo, Kravitz is wearing a skull ring that Momoa says in his caption he got him as a gift from an artist he found on Instagram. Last year, Kravitz said Momoa was "like a brother."

Next step? Maybe get the whole gang together on a song. We know Lenny's up for it. In the Men's Health cover story, he talks about the importance of Bonet helping co-write songs on his 1989 debut album, Let Love Rule. Zoë sang alongside Janelle Monáe on the song "Screwed" on her 2018 album Dirty Computer. We don't know if Jason Momoa can sing—but what's the harm in trying?

Amit Mishra ruled out of remainder of IPL 2020

Delhi Capitals senior spinner Amit Mishra has been ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2020 due to a finger injury. The leggie sustained a flexor tendon injury to the ring finger of his bowling hand during DC's fixture against KKR on October 3. Mishra featured in three games this season, picking up three wickets.

In his very first over in his team's defence of 228 for 4 in Sharjah, Mishra was hurt while trying to take a return catch of Nitish Rana when the ball ballooned up off a leading edge. Mishra dived across and got his hands underneath the ball but couldn't hold on, and injured himself in the process. He bowled another over and even dismissed Shubman Gill but didn't bowl again after that, finishing the game with figures of 1 for 14 in 2 overs.

The 37-year-old will now consult with a specialist over the next few days to determine the most appropriate course of management for this injury.

Mishra's ouster means Axar Patel will walk back into the side as the second spinner alongside Ravichandran Ashwin for Monday's game against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The franchise already has a leg-spinning option, albeit an overseas one in Sandeep Lamichhane. If they are to consider a like-for-like replacement, some of the Indian options include the likes of S Midhun, Praveen Dubey, Shubham Singh, Ankit Soni or a mystery spinner like KC Cariappa who were all unsold in the auctions.
