Sanji

"Black Leg" Sanji is a pirate and the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates, and the former sous chef of Baratie. He is officially the fifth member of the crew and the fourth to join, doing so at the end of the Baratie Arc. Since he was born in North Blue, he is the first Straw Hat not to originate from East Blue. He is one of the Monster Trio in the crew alongside Luffy and Zoro. His dream is to find the rumored All Blue, which is where East Blue, West Blue, North Blue, and South Blue meet along with their wildlife, a chef's paradise. He has a bounty of 177,000,000Beli, which is only valid if captured alive.

Sanji is a slim, yet muscular, long-legged young man with blond hair and keeps his hair brushed over one side of his face. For the initial part of the series, this was the left side. Due to his left eye never being seen, many fans questioned whether he had one at all. In the manga it was usually covered one way or another, but is seen in the anime. Later, after the two year timeskip, he switched his hairstyle so that it covers the right side. It also appears that Sanji's hair is less straight and scruffier after the timeskip.

Among Sanji's physical traits are his distinctive eyebrows. Both form a spiral but at different ends. His right eyebrow forms a spiral at the outer end, while his left eyebrow forms a spiral at the inner end. This means his face is asymmetrical with the position of his eyebrow spirals. This, however, is not fully seen due to his hairstyle. He still gets very upset if somebody, typically Zoro, mocks him over the spirals. Though, on rare occasions, Sanji's other eye was seen in the anime, the spiral was never witnessed. While Sanji's eyes usually seem black, he was depicted with grey-blue eyes in the anime at the beginning of Thriller Bark Arc. Sanji almost always wears a black, double-breasted suit with a tie and a long-sleeved, buttoned shirt of varying colors, usually orange, blue, turquoise, or black, with or without pinstripes. His outfit changes on a more frequent basis than most of the crew.

Duval

Duval is the leader of the Rosy Life Riders, who were initially the Flying Fish Riders kidnapping gang in the neighborhood of Fishman Island and Sabaody Archipelago. He was initially an enemy of the Straw Hats; however, he has since become their ally. Duval is a very large man who was originally introduced wearing a large mask, with long red tufts attached to it, giving him his epithet Iron Mask Duval. While standing, he appears around two and a half times a normal person's height.

He has a muscular torso, but has skinny arms and legs. Besides his head and shoulders which are covered in armor, he wears an open leather jacket, black pants, cowboy boots, and a long fur cape. Underneath his iron mask, Duval surprisingly looked exactly like Sanji's badly drawn wanted poster. Except for his eyebrow, which swirls downward instead of upward like Sanji's, he was an exact duplicate of the drawing. Because of this appearance, he had a lot of trouble with the Marines and bounty hunters, and thus had to conceal his face in order to protect himself. Duval received a lot of injuries because of this; his most devastating one is a scar on his back, which he states is very painful.

He had this exact face since he was born, and even made his parents think he was an ugly baby due to the dawn of the Golden Age of Pirates. Upon confronting Sanji in order to get revenge, Duval got his entire facial structure rearranged by Sanji's kicks. The result of such a crude and violent operation was a complete successful makeover. Due to Sanji's kicks, Duval's entire face had been rearranged into a handsome one completely different from the one he originally had. He absolutely loves it for the benefits it gives. Though turned handsome, Duval however has a hard time winking and thus his eyes would often not blink in unison. This might also be because he's never had to wink before, as implied by Sanji. Pleased with his new appearance, Duval's been calling himself "Handsome".

Kazuhito Narita

Kazuhito Narita (Narita Kazuhito) is a 2nd year at Karasuno High. He is one of the team's middle blockers. Like Tanaka, he has a shaved head except his hair appears much darker and doesn't have a widow's peak. During their first year of high school, Kazuhito, together with Ennoshita and Hisashi, leaves the volleyball team as they are unable to keep up with Ukai Sr.'s harsh training methods.

They come back after they hear about Ukai Sr.'s hospitalization and regret their decision, starting to call themselves "The Ungrateful Second Years." He, along with the rest of the team, takes part in a series of training camp with Nekoma High, Ubugawa High, Shinzen High, and Fukurōdani Academy.

He isn't a regular on the team. He's seen watching or cheering on the bench during games in the background. However, he finally play in an official match during the Johzenji High match as replacement for Hinata, who was benched following Kageyama's injury. During the match with Johzenji High, it's shown that Narita can spike at a normal level and is compatible with Sugawara. He appears to be good friends with Ennoshita and Kinoshita and is often seen with them during practice or games. He's never seen without either Hisashi or Ennoshita.

Hisashi Kinoshita

Hisashi Kinoshita (Kinoshita Hisashi) is a 2nd year in Class 2 at Karasuno High. He is one of the volleyball team's wing spikers. Hisashi has short spiky hair that's light brown in color, and cat-like eyes. He is average in height, but compared with the other second-year players he is the shortest aside from Nishinoya.

He's very supportive of his team. Even though he isn't a regular, he's always seen cheering Karasuno on. It seems he's not afraid to make sly remarks about his teammates such as telling Tanaka, "Don't take off your shirt, baldy!" Prior to the events in Haikyuu, Hisashi leaves the volleyball team, together with Ennoshita and Narita as they are unable to keep up with Ukai Sr.'s harsh training methods.

They come back after they hear about Ukai Sr.'s hospitalization and regret their decision, starting to call themselves "The Ungrateful Second Years." During the Golden Week, it is revealed that he left the volleyball club for a short period of time due to Ikkei Ukai's harsh training methods. He, along with the rest of the team, takes part in a series of training camp with Nekoma High, Ubugawa High, Shinzen High, and Fukurōdani Academy. It is noted that he's part of Team B. He appears to be good friends with Ennoshita and Narita and is often seen with them during practice or games.

Chikara Ennoshita

Chikara Ennoshita (Ennoshita Chikara) is a 2nd year at Karasuno High. He is one of the team's wing spikers. Ennoshita is an average-looking guy with a sleepy look on his face. He doesn't attract much attention and often goes unmentioned even when he's on court.

He seems quiet and reserved but can behave boldly towards the other 2nd years. He's smart and hasn't received a failing mark before. Similarly to Sugawara, he is always smiling. He's supposedly the only one within the 2nd years to be able to control Tanaka and Nishinoya. He's also able to understand different people, as stated a few times by Tanaka and when he knew what to do to give Yamaguchi some courage before his jump float serve.

Prior to the events in Haikyuu, Ennoshita leaves the volleyball team, together with Kinoshita and Narita as they are unable to keep up with Ikkei Ukai's harsh training methods. They come back after they hear about Ukai Sr.'s hospitalization and regret their decision, starting to call themselves "The Ungrateful Second Years". His regular position on the team is taken by Tanaka and Asahi. He can be seen cheering from the bench during games. Ennoshita's fundamentals all seem pretty much intermediate, as commented by Iwaizumi, his playing style isn't that bad, but wasn't that outstanding overall. No ability in particular stands out, but is level headed and smart during in games, despite his lack of game sense in volleyball being much lower than Sugawara and Daichi. This was showcased as he was able to deduce Takeru's plan of using his blockouts every time he goes up against blockers, each time he attempts to spike the ball. Even though he is a bench player, his smart thinking in games is what got him voted to be the next captain for the whole team next year, by the time the current third years graduate and leave for university.

Tadashi Yamaguchi

Tadashi Yamaguchi (Yamaguchi Tadashi) is a member of the Karasuno High Volleyball Club. He plays the role of pinch server in the team. Yamaguchi is a young-looking boy with an average build. He has short black hair, often portrayed as brown or even green with a flyaway piece of hair sticking up at the top. Back in middle school, he was teased for his freckles and overall scrawniness.

He seems to have grown into it now and isn't bothered about it as much. After joining the Karasuno volleyball team during games, Yamaguchi wears Karasuno's black, orange, and white uniform with the number 12 on the back. He also wears knee pads, and white volleyball shoes with black details. Outside of matches and practice, Yamaguchi wears a black gakuran, the Karasuno uniform.

Yamaguchi is a pretty shy person who relies on others. Though he is generally a nice person, he tends to snicker along or join in with Tsukishima whenever he's mocking others. He is hardworking, as shown when he sought for extra training on his own, and how he continued practicing outside of the team after seeing how weak he was compared to his other teammates. After a fatal loss in the match against Aobajōsai High, he gained a lot of confidence thanks to his teammates and Makoto Shimada since he was helping him practicing the jump float serve. During the summer training camp, he even stood up against Kei Tsukishima, who was surprised and called him "cool" for the first time. Tsukishima started working harder, and their relationship returned to normal after that event.

Metal Bat

Metal Bat (Kinzokubatto) is a S-Class, rank 16, superhero for the Hero Association. Metal Bat resembles a typical Japanese banchō delinquent who sports a pompadour. His eyes and brows greatly emphasize his hot temper. He appears to have a great deal of confidence in himself stating that he did not care whether a threat is a Demon or Dragon level, he would take care of it himself. He also seems to be brash and reckless, as shown when he immediately smashed one of Melzalgald's marbles instead of trying to analyze what purpose it serves for the enemy.

Furthermore he was willing to challenge Handsomely Masked Sweet Mask for his mockery attitude before it was interrupted by a call from his sister and Sweet Mask's client. He speaks in a very rough dialect, pronouncing 'yer' instead of 'your' for example. Despite his brash attitude, he still has a soft side in him when it comes to his sister, who he treats very well and spoils to an extent. Like Saitama, he doesn't care about his rank and sometimes accidentally kills his enemies faster than he intended, such as when he killed Rafflesidon and Senior Centipede before he could get an answers for their motivations. This is different from Sweet Mask's merciless nature.

As an S-Class hero, Metal Bat is very powerful. It's believed he's one of the strongest S-Class heroes, as he was able to threaten Sweet Mask with little to no fear, one of the strongest characters in the series, and even stronger than some S-Class heroes. He was able to take on multiple monsters, such as Senior Centipede and Rafflesidon, who are each a demon level monster. He was even confident enough to fight a dragon class opponent, stating he doesn't care if it is one. Highly Perceptive Combatant: Despite his brash nature, Metal Bat seems to be very perceptive, as he was the first one to discover Melzalgald's weakness. In addition, he was able to notice that Elder Centipede avoided getting his head in contact with Metal Bat's attack. Mind Control Resistance: By hitting himself with his bat, Metal Bat was able to resist the influences of Rafflesidon's gases. Immense Strength: Metal Bat possesses immense physical strength and has taken out many powerful monsters and villains with a single swing, including two demon-class level monsters simultaneously. While being unable to kill the Elder Centipede with one hit, he did push it down and completely stop it in its tracks. Immense Durability:: Metal Bat also possesses immense durability. He was able to take many hits from Senior Centipede, a demon class level monster which would kill a normal human being. In addition, he received a direct hit from Elder Centipede, but did not seem to be fazed by the attack afterwards. Fighting Spirit: Metal Bat was able to take a lot of punishment from battles and still be able to continue to fight as if nothing happened. It is his will to continue to fight, no matter what happens. Immense Reflexes: : Metal Bat also possesses superhuman reflexes as seen in his fight against Garou, where he's able to deflect and block Garou multiple punches despite being injured in his battle against Elder Centipede. Immense Speed: Metal Bat was able to escape a falling spaceship and he even considered Puri-Puri-Prisoner slow.

Puri-Puri-Prisoner

Puri-Puri-Prisoner (Puripuri Purizunā) is a S-Class, rank 17, superhero for the Hero Association. Puri-Puri-Prisoner is a large muscular individual with a cleft chin which has some stubble on it, large lips, and a truffle style haircut. His attire consists of a traditional prison jumpsuit with a light sweater vest with a large heart in the center of it.

Puri-Puri Prisoner is a flamboyant, openly homosexual superhero. He takes an interest in other, up and coming heroes and criminals; an interest which led to his titular jail sentence, as he kept attacking them. Criminals that he apprehends are then added to his harem. He appears to be rather absent-minded, as he did not think to remove his sweater before bulking up, and then blamed his opponent, the Sea King, for its destruction.

Immense Strength: Puri-Puri-Prisoner possesses immense physical strength, he is able to deal a great amount of damage with each punch. Enhanced Speed: Puri-Puri-Prisoner is able to run at great speeds. With his technique Angel Dash, he was able to outrun the Dark Matter Thieves' crashing ship. Puri-Puri-Prisoner Angel ☆ Style (Puripuri Purizunā Enjeru ☆ Sutairu): Puri-Puri-Prisoner increases his body's muscle mass, increasing his already impressive strength to new heights; in a process he calls "transforming." However, his clothing does not increase in size with him, causing it to become torn. Angel ☆ Rush (Enjeru ☆ Rasshu): Puri-Puri-Prisoner leaps towards his opponent and the mirage of an angelic pair of white wings appears behind him. He then unleashes a flurry of punches on his opponent. Dark ☆ Angel ☆ Rush (Dāku ☆ Enjeru ☆ Rasshu): A refined version of his Angel Rush attack in which Puri-Puri-Prisoner, taking the advice of the Sea King, aims to kill with every one of his punches.[16] In addition, his illusory angel wings are colored black, rather than white. Angel ☆ Dash (Enjeru ☆ Dasshu): Puri-Puri-Prisoner runs with great speed.

Bang

Bang (Bangu) also known as Silver Fang (Shirubā Fangu) is an S-Class, rank 3, superhero for the Hero Association, settled in Z-City. Bang owns a dojo passed down from generations, and uses the fighting style, the Rock-Smashing Water Stream Fist. He has an older brother named Bomb, who is the master of Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist.

Bang is an old man with white-spiky hair, thick eyebrows and a thick mustache. He has distinct wrinkles on his face, a squarish chin and has slightly tan skin. He wears a dark shirt, light colored pants and kung fu shoes. Bang has been shown to be, despite his age, very muscular.

Bang has a serious personality: he acts calm and does not seem to be afraid at the prospect of stopping a dragon-level disaster meteor. Unlike most other heroes in the series, Bang prefers to be called by his name. Bang is also well grounded in the ethics of a hero: he calls the other S-class heroes heartless, the ones nearby for forgetting about the disaster in Z City and the others for attending to their own problems instead. Additionally, when witnessing Tanktop Black Hole accuse Saitama of the civilians' misery, Bang watches from a distance sympathetically, but without interfering, noting that heroes will normally have to deal with the lack of appreciation for their actions and take responsibility. Later, when Charanko confronts Saitama with praise of the martial arts master's skill and hero rank, Bang angrily warns Charanko not to embarrass him, outright stating that Saitama is many times stronger than he is. Perhaps due to losing all but one of his disciples to his former top disciple Garou, on top of his old age and his remaining disciple's incompetence, Bang also eagerly looks for new disciples to succeed him. After stating that he would not want the meteorite to fall on Z City as it would erase his dojo, Bang quickly demonstrates his Ryuusui Gansai Ken (Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist), only to realize that Genos had already disappeared. Later, he invites Saitama and Genos to his dojo claiming to show them something interesting, only to demonstrate the Ryuusui Gansai Ken much to the disinterest of his guests.
