I think colon's dad is the human who was chilling at the beach and awaiting straw hats. That scene had sinister vibes. He is that one guy from roger's crew perhaps? Man, the idea of a human man managing to have a kid with a giant woman... It kind of breaks my brain a little bit. And that's even before ripley brought up how much older ripley is compared to him, ugh. Though I wonder if that means colon is going to be smaller than an average giant, or if he's not going to live as long as a result.
Is bonney going to stay with lilith in elbaf? That makes sense, seeing as lilith did say she intends to repair kuma once stella's back-up clone is up and running. Also, did we all just assume that the adam wood franky got was from elbaf? Was it established that there was more than one treasure tree adam before now?
I know I should get used to size inconsistency in one piece, but isn't jimbei supposed to be the tallest member of the crew at 301cm/9'11"? Brook is the second tallest at 277cm/9'1", while franky is the third tallest at 240cm/7'10". Jimbei is shorter than both of them in the panel where they all get their new elbaf clothes.
I'm kind of surprised that luffy recognized stansen, considering his last encounter with him was pretty brief, not to mention his beard's grown out quite a bit since then. I tell you, I certainly didn't recognize stansen as that one giant that was saved from slavery on the shabody archipelago when I saw him again.
I knew jarul was old, but apparently he's the oldest living giant in the world. Really curious to see what he has to say now that he's here, especially regarding that sword through his head. Also, I didn't realize he was much bigger than the average giant, impressive.

The part I disagree with is someone else influencing the DF.
I do agree there could be different awakenings for Luffy, but it's all reliant on Luffy.
And in this case, it's nothing special. If you look at the flying six, they were doing ridiculous things with their dino fruits. Sasaki in particular. I think the interpretation of what the "Zoan" is actually severely affects the manifestation of the power. So, Luffy's interpretation of awakenings affects how his fruit expresses itself. It would be more akin to Luffy's interpretations of Gear 4 as opposed to something cosmic.
With the weakness of the awakened zoans in mind, Nika's base nature is already pretty set and I don't think anything is changing that.
Interesting the spoiler doesn't mention anything about the attack. The old giant showed up wounded in front of the whole crew and giants pirates and none of them are wondering who did this and should we be on the look out? Also Jarul isn't saying some people showed up out of nowhere and started attacking? Also Luffy who in the last arc and this arc has been like I sense strong opponent isn't even registering the Gods Knights presence?
Makes me wonder if they can conceil their haki in similar way that in DBZ people can lower there energy levels. It hasn't been something we've seen in OP yet but maybe Oda is introducing that concept now. Also wonder if Jarul is too old to or hurt to know what happened to him (though he seems to be telling the story easily about Nika).
A lot of things definitely are not adding up here. Everyone seems way to unconcerned about a sword in the head.
