So brook grew up in a junkyard and luffy grew up near the garbage heap. Kinda interesting how similar both of them are. Maybe there's something to the idea of previous failed joyboys. Brook has even pulled the pose twice now. It's a simple chapter, but i bet reading the chapter and seeing the images will be a better experience than just reading these spoilers.
I'm just happy to see more of queen candelle this week. Brook is connected to gunko, while gunko and candelle are connected to imu. So yeah, there's a good reason for the flashback. More imu lore drop, while touching on some about brook too. Agree that elbaph's not the end for imu. It seemed there's a time limit on how long imu can stay on any ground below mary geoise. I mean it's been shown that gunko is a person close to imu, as she was present in the flower room during while rocks invaded. It's pretty obvious that this flashback will heavily feature how shuri was corrupted and became so close to imu, while also most likely revealing information about him along the way.
