Loki giving in to ida when she offered juice was very cute. Kinda reminiscent to shanks giving an angry luffy juice and laughing at him after. I think it's so cute and sad. A neglected child and a woman full of patience trying to get through to him with love, caring and small bribes. I like ida so much and these small moments make me feel even worse for loki - it is obvious that he wants to feel loved but he is too scared.
If I had to guess, its his fear of being reduced to nothing.
Loki was always treated as lesser, a demon, a monster, etc. His only way to feel worth was the fact that he was king harold's official son and heir. Acknowledging harold's lover as his own mother would be reducing him to just another son with hajrudin. But hajrudin is a normal loved son while loli is the worthless monster. In loki's perspective, "Why would anyone care about him then if hajrudin is just better in every way?" so his only option is to relentlessly hold onto the one aspect that makes him someone worth being acknowledged.
Its part of why he wants to join rocks so much. Only on a ship full of monsters and demons can he be himself without fear of being discarded.
