Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 Colorway

After aligning with Hiroshi Fujiwara and his fragment design label for a duo of Air Jordan 1 collaborations, Travis Scott is in preparation to expand upon his highly sought after footwear catalog by now connecting back with the Nike (NYSE:NKE -0.65%) family. Up next for La Flame and the Swoosh is a full collection of Air Max 1s, and the latest colorway has just surfaced.

This newest makeup to emerge bears close resemblance to the “Baroque Brown” rendition, but it features tiny tweaks in its upper presentation that allows it to stand on its own. Mesh underlays and reversed canvas Swooshes are both dialed to a natural white hue and come neighbored by overlays around the toe boxes, mid-foot and heels that are swathed in a Fall-appropriate “Wheat” tone. From there, pops of red poke out through the hiking-inspired laces, the checkered straps that appear on the quarters and heels as well as the flag-shaped embellishments on the heels that split between Nike branding on the left shoe and Cactus Jack hits on the right. To kick off the first weekend of November, Scott is hosting his third annual Astroworld Festival, and there’s a possibility that these could see an early release in the days leading up to the event via a SNKRS Pass.

Nike Air Max 90 Adopts the Persian Violet Motif

Every year Nike (NYSE:NKE +1.46%) will make the executive decision to bring back classic Air Max colorways from the vault. 2021 marked the glorious return of the Nike Air Max BW “Persian Violet”, and as the Swoosh has a tendency of doing, it distributes this palette to other silhouettes within the Nike Sportswear catalog.

The “Persian Violet” motif has already been seen on the Nike Air Max 97 and the Air Tuned Max, and now it’s made an official appearance on the Air Max 90. Unlike its muse, this latest offering reverses the color-coordination and utilizes its titular tone to splash onto the leather side Swooshes, eye stays, Air Max lateral branding and overlays that sit at the bottom of the throat. The leather materials that form the front of the shoe and the mid-foot as well as the mesh collars contrast with white, while the suede mudguards, mesh toe boxes, forefoot eye stays and interior liners are dyed in black. Midsoles go for the yin and yang aesthetic and split between black and white paint, the latter section of which hosts a translucent Air unit. Nike Japan has these available right now for ¥13,200 (approx. $120 USD).
