Netflix Launches First Mobile Games With Two 'Stranger Things' Titles

Netflix has debuted its first mobile game titles to its global subscribers on Android, Netflix’s VP of Game Development Mike Verdu announced on Tuesday. The inaugural lineup includes two Stranger Things titles Stranger Things: 1984 and Stranger Things 3: The Game which first arrived for Android users exclusively in Poland in August. Additional games available to the platform’s subscribers include Shooting Hoops (Frosty Pop), Card Blast (Amuzo & Rogue Games) and Teeter Up (Frosty Pop).

“Whether you’re craving a casual game you can start from scratch or an immersive experience that lets you dig deeper into your favorite stories, we want to begin to build a library of games that offers something for everyone,” Verdu said in a blog post. “We’re in the early days of creating a great gaming experience, and we’re excited to take you on this journey with us.” Users who open the Netflix app on their mobile Android devices will now see a designated games tab where they will be able to click on games to download and play. Each game will automatically be playable in the language that the user has set on their Netflix account; however, the language will default to English if the user’s chosen language is not yet available in Netflix’s games. The gaming tab will only appear for adult accounts on the streamer, meaning children’s accounts will not be able to access the mobile games. Parents and guardians are able to create a PIN number in order to unlock games on Netflix for children’s accounts. Netflix’s games are expected to become available on iOS “soon,” according to a Netflix

Everything Joining PlayStation Plus in July 2021

A few massive titles will be joining the PlayStation Plus free-to-play roster for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players in the month of July. On the PlayStation 4 front, three games will be made free for those subscribed to PlayStation Plus, spearheaded by the massively popular 2018 first-person shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, which kickstarted the beloved franchise’s move into the battle royale scene with its Blackout game mode

As for those lucky enough to own a PlayStation 5, the month of July will see the addition of A Plague Tale: Innocence, an action-adventure horror survival game released by Asobo Studio and Focus Home Interactive in 2019. Its upgraded version for the next-gen console was only announced recently during this year’s E3, and a sequel titled A Plague Tale: Requiem is currently in development and scheduled for a 2022 release. All four games will arrive July 6 on the PlayStation Plus service. Elsewhere in gaming, KOEI Tecmo Games has released a new gameplay trailer for Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires.

Riot Will Record Valorant Voice Chat To Fight Toxicity

Games is going to start recording in-game voice communication in Valorant, with the intention of evaluating and moderating toxic behavior in its first-person shooter. The League of Legends developer announced the new policy Friday in a letter to players. Valorant is the only game in which Riot will record and review voice chat right now, despite the policy applying to all Riot games, including Teamfight Tactics and League of Legends. Riot said it will listen to and review voice logs only if a player is reported. Players who don’t want their voice chat recorded will have the option to turn off voice chat entirely; otherwise, by using chat functionality on Valorant, your communication will be recorded and moderated. The new policy is a step in Riot’s attempts to make Valorant a game that’s “safe and inclusive for everyone,” the company said. This problem isn’t unique to Valorant, nor is it the first time Riot has tried to moderate toxic behavior in its game communities; League of Legends is notorious for this. And so it was no surprise when players and Riot developers reported sexism, racism, and harassment in Valorant.

Soon after, Riot made a promise to players that it would work to combat this sort of behavior in the game. The company started the Social and Player Dynamics team, led by producer Sara Dadafshar, to work on all social features in Valorant. “Our goal our full-on endeavor is not just to reduce toxicity, but to bring players together as well,” Dadafshar told Polygon. Dadafshar and the Social and Player Dynamics team have already begun implementing some changes to Valorant that players may have noticed, like detection systems for AFK players and new reporting tools. Voice-chat moderation beginning with recording player chat is the next step in moderating toxic Valorant players. In 2020, Sony was criticized for implementing an unannounced feature that gave the company the ability to record voice chat audio for “moderation review.” The problem wasn’t necessarily that Sony was recording voice chat, but rather that the system wasn’t clearly explained. Players raised privacy concerns, with some worried that Sony was actively monitoring voice chat at all times. Later, Sony clarified that voice chat recordings would only be used to review complaints. Riot appears to be anticipating similar concerns and is addressing that directly; after all, the company has already been dealing with players questioning Vanguard, the Valorant anti-cheat system. “Ultimately, it makes sense that we’re doing this,” Dadafshar said. “I hope that players will see that and understand we can’t moderate without moderating. I hope [players] see the bigger picture of it all.” As part of its announcement, Riot addressed data privacy, too: We believe we should collect the absolute minimum data to effectively run our games and continuously improve your experience. When we collect data, we’ll be transparent, we’ll keep it for only as long as necessary, and we’ll protect it as if it were our own. We know collecting voice data is a concern for many of you, but be assured that we would never ship anything if we weren’t comfortable having our own data treated the same way. And if you prefer to not have your voice chat captured, you may turn off voice chat. Riot also clarified to Polygon that it’s not monitoring all voice activity coming into the computer just voice communications using Valorant’s official channels. Voice chat evaluations won’t start to happen immediately, Riot said. The new behavior system tools are still in development; players won’t notice much happening right away. According to Dadafshar, the tool in development will work “kind of like Amazon Alexa,” in that it “responds and reacts” to player chat using “contextual clues of natural language” to “moderate in real time.” “But the end road for this is to actually moderate what is being said,” Dadafshar said. “When someone starts to say something bad, we can be like, ‘no, you can’t do that.’ Obviously we’re a little bit away from that, but this is definitely the first step. That sort of catch is happening right now with text we just launched that. Now, the next step is to not only make text [moderation] better, but voice as well.” Riot will continue to update Valorant with new features, including ones that address player behavior. Dadafshar pointed to features like player reputation and honor tools, like in League of Legends. But Riot also wants to create tools to bring like-minded players together, like a search feature for people looking for groups to play with. “We have a long journey ahead of us,” Dadafshar said. “And I want to fix that for not only just the players, but for myself.”

Apex Legends Mobile Betas to Begin In May 2021

Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment announced that its battle royale shooter will be released on mobile devices, kicking off with a beta version available later this month. "Beginning later this month, we're kicking off the first regional beta tests for Apex Legends Mobile," Apex Legends Game Director Chad Grenier wrote on EA's website. "This is a huge moment for our team. Two years ago we changed the landscape of the battle royale genre, and now we’re aiming to do it again on mobile." The beta version of Apex Legends Mobile will only be available to players in India and the Philippines later this month before being rolled out to more regions throughout the year. It will initially be only available on Android phones and will implement iOS support after further testing.

Grenier went on to say that this version of the shooter is tailored specifically to mobile devices. "Apex Legends Mobile is specially designed for touchscreens, with streamlined controls and thoughtful optimizations that result in the most advanced battle royale combat available on a phone," he explained. For this reason, the mobile version will not feature crossplay ability with either the PC or console versions of Apex Legends. "To put it simply, the best is yet to come for PC and console players," Grenier concluded. The next big update to Apex Legends will come in the form of the shooter's ninth season, titled Legacy, which is set to be released on May 4. A new Legend named Valkyrie, a Titan pilot who blames Titanfall 2 antagonist Kuben Blisk for her father's death, was showcased in the most recent "Stories from the Outlands" trailer titled "Northstar." She will be featured in the new season alongside a new weapon called the Bocek Bow and a version of the map Olympus that is infested and overgrown with roots and other plant growths. Developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts, Apex Legends is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, X Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch. Apex Legends: Legacy will be available May 4. Apex Legends Mobile will be available in beta version to different regions throughout the year and is expected to release worldwide in 2022.

Genshin Impact Creators To Make VR Game Like Sword Art Online

Not only was Sword Art Online a huge hit there for a while. Genshin Impact is also a big hit. Sword art online was a popular anime around the 2012-2015 era, and Genshin Impact made a huge impact on the gaming world in 2020. What if someone was to take the two of them and combine them? Well, that is exactly what the creators of Genshin Impact plan on doing! As you can imagine, this has the Genshin Impact community in an uproar because most fans are hyped about it. Who wouldn’t want to roam in a virtual world that was similar to sword are online? Keep in mind, what the creators probably mean is they will make a virtual game that is also an MMO like the anime sword art online was. Sword art online first started off as a new virtual game coming out for the VR sets they had in the anime. This new game was called Sword Art Online. Putting on the VR set, Kirito, the main character, logs into SAO for the first time.

Well, so everyone thought. Later on, in the Anime, it is revealed that Kirito was a beta tester for the game. Anyways what ends up happing to Kirito and all the other players get stuck in the game. Players think this is just a new game bug. However, players all get teleported to an area in the game where this cloaked figure comes out flying above them all. This cloaked figure was actually the bad guy of the anime series. He ends up telling everyone they were trapped in the game forever. If they died in the game, they died in real life. The whole purpose of the “bad guy” doing this was to make the game like it was real life. So he did. Players from all over tried their hardest to get to the top of a tower that players have to venture through. The reason everyone was so keen on getting to the top was that if they managed to beat the last floor. Everyone would be set free. Though, several people didn’t make it through many floors. Meaning they died in real life as well. The thing about the VR sets, too, was if they were removed from someone on the outside. The player would die as well. There was no escaping this game. Not knowing a whole lot about the game, we will try our best to talk about it. Genshin Impact is a huge game as of 2020-2021. This game was similar to Sword art online. Only the game wasn’t a massively multiplayer online game. Also, if you died in the game, you didn’t die in real life. Though, some can joke and say they did. In Genshin impact, you got rewarded for adventuring and completing certain tasks. You could find materials scattered throughout the world as well. Making this a pretty fun game. Enemies are actually somewhat hard as well. If you want a comparison on the game, Breath of the Wild is close to what Genshin Impact is, however, not the same game. Suppose Genshin Impact was a Nintendo Switch game, though. It is possible it may be bigger than Zelda Breath of the Wild. Recently, GameLook magazine had interviewed Mr. Cai Haoyu, director of miHoYo. The same people who made Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3. Mr. Cai Haoyu had shared some interesting news! He plans to make the largest Virtual world game in history. The models, of course, being inspired by Sword Art Online. Mr. Cai is hoping this game is large enough, it can accommodate 1 billion people. That’s right, everyone! 1 Billion players will get to explore the new world Haoyu is planning to build, however, it may not be possible. The reason the may not be possible is that there are only 8 billion people in the world currently. Not everyone has electricity or even computers. The VR sets will more likely be outrageous prices when they start coming out with better sets, however, it would be interesting to see a game be such a huge success.

Persona 5 Strikers Is A Perfect Excuse To Reunite With The Phantom Thieves

Atlus is a master of weird spinoffs. In the past, the developer has revamped its RPG series Persona as dungeon crawlers, brawlers, and rhythm games. Heroes have bounded through space and time for fanfiction-worthy team-ups, all in service of giving players a reason to see their favorite characters again. Persona 5 Strikers goes one step further, turning an action-heavy adventure into a road trip that feels right at home with the original game. Persona 5 Strikers is a direct sequel to Persona 5, set months after the Phantom Thieves hung up their masks. The gang reunites for a long-overdue vacation, only to have it interrupted by the appearance of Jails warped versions of reality where one person rules, not unlike the Palaces they encountered in the original game. To solve the mystery of these jails, the Phantom Thieves get an RV and take their investigation across Japan. Strikers is an action-RPG take on the game in the vein of Omega Force’s other spinoffs of popular series, like Hyrule Warriors.

It trades in the careful turn-based strategy of the original for button-mashing through mobs. Players are no longer confined to controlling only the game’s hero, Joker, and can swap between party members like Makoto or Ann at will. In addition to elemental abilities specific to their personas, like nuclear or wind attacks, each has special physical attacks to help you through battle. Characters I barely used in the original Persona 5, like Ryuji, became my go-to for mobs I wanted to melee; I rarely needed Morgana’s magic but loved his ability to turn into a car and mow down shadows. Despite being able to swap between characters, the game’s mash-heavy gameplay can become monotonous at times. On a good streak, I would string together combos, pile on follow-up and all-out attacks, and zap enemies with magic attacks — but mostly, I just spent a lot of time frantically hitting buttons. The amount happening on-screen can sometimes be dizzying if not tough to follow, between characters talking during battle and zipping around a screen smashing enemies in the face. Persona 5 Strikers doesn’t offer as robust an experience as the original game — there are no personality traits to improve, and relationships are distilled down to a single “Bond” metric that applies to your entire team — but it offers a solid array of ways to break up your playtime. New cities mean sidequests, shops to visit, and recipes to find for you to cook with; party members often want to visit special restaurants and attractions. The constraints of a deadline are gone as well. You can pop in and out of jails as often as you wish to go hang with your friends. The experience feels like a streamlined version of Persona, the video game equivalent of a summer vacation. It’s a way to spend extra time with a world I fell in love with over the course of dozens of hours, and a welcome expansion to the game’s mythos. Where Persona 5’s Palaces were desires pushed to their extreme and corrupted, Jails revolve around trauma. In order to defeat the monarchs of each jail, you’ll need to first uncover and understand the pain that birthed them. It’s a welcome change, a turn that makes people’s cruelty more interesting. Persona 5’s examinations of people at their darkest sometimes ran up against the cartoonish villainy of it all. The rulers you faced were so exaggeratedly evil that taking them down needed no justification. But Strikers offers a more complex alternative: that hurt people hurt people. The monarchs have manipulated and deceived, yet they’re still a path for them to learn and grow from their mistakes. As a sequel, Persona 5 Strikers doesn’t offer much in the way of big revelations — but it doesn’t have to. Like the series’s many other spinoffs, the allure is the opportunity to play in their world a little longer. Clearing a jail is fun, but it still can’t compare to a night out with your friends.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales Gameplay Trailer Has Spider-Man: Homecoming Vibes

Spider-Man: Miles Morales gameplay trailer has swung in. At the PlayStation 5 Showcase occasion, Sony Interactive Entertainment unveiled seven minutes of first look gameplay from the primary Spider-Man PS5 sport centred on the Harlem hero. It begins off with Miles attending a political rally organised by his mom, which works sideways after some criminals barge in, forcing Miles’ alter ego to step in. The battle takes him to a close-by bridge, the place he squares up with some neon-sporting villains rocking some strong gear of their very own. But issues do not go nicely, as you may see within the Spider-Man: Miles Morales gameplay trailer above. The bridge begins to break down, forcing Miles to avoid wasting everybody on the bridge. Xbox Series X’s Price May Have Leaked, And It Isn’t Bang For The Buck!

Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5: Both are all ready for the upcoming console war.

A report by Bloomberg was released on Thursday which said that the PlayStation 5 might be the most expensive console in 25 years of gaming products by Sony.

The manufacturing cost of the PS5 is supposed to be $450 per unit. Therefore, we can expect a price of $500 or maybe higher. This definitely provides Xbox Series X to win the race by cutting out its price.

However, the company has not announced the price officially of their console. But both, Microsoft and Sony have confirmed that these consoles are going to have a powerful and expensive technology. Both the next-gen consoles will have solid-state drives and also support ray-tracing.

Well, we expect that Microsoft is in a better position to give these features at a comparatively lower price.

As we see that, Xbox is currently lagging behind PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. Therefore, it needs to have a powerful comeback. The release of Xbox Series X might be a chance for Microsoft to turn the power towards them in the next generation.

How is it possible for Microsoft to undercut PS5?

As we have seen that Microsoft is the most profitable company in the world. They valued more than $1 trillion as of the stats of January. And most of the hard cash is earned from the other departments that have nothing to do with Xbox.
History can Repeat

PS3 was released back in 2006 and was priced at $599 which was $100 more than Microsoft. Therefore, PS3 reported slower sales because of the wrong steps taken by the company in terms of price.

Therefore, either Sony will keep the price of PS5 lower than Series X and take a massive loss or price it higher than the Xbox Series X resulting in slower sales.

In both ways, PS5 is going to have a risky future.

HyperScape: Here Are The Best Weapons That Would Get You The Crown Victory!

HyperScape: In order to win in most of the battle royale games, we have to kill all the players in the match. But, in HyperScape you don’t have to do so in order to win. Also, you can go for the Crown and can win that way. Once you have caught the Crown you will have to hold it for 45 seconds. The only problem is that your location will be revealed to everyone who is near you.

Therefore, the best option here is running so find any skill such as teleporting, which can help you at that moment. Slam will also be a good choice as it will transport you to a different place for a period of time. So, use both the abilities to escape from the other players.

Weapons that are recommended

We have listed the best weapons that you can use:

  • Hexfire- The magazine size of Hexfire can start at 150 and can go up to 270 at level 5.
  • D-Tap- If you are not perfect at aiming then D-Tap is the best sidearm that you should have. The bullets of this weapon auto-track the enemies itself.
  • Skybreaker- This is a weird weapon. It is a bit situational especially in a movement, heavy game like the HyperScape. But this offers really good damage at higher ranks.
  • Komodo- This weapon is slow at firing. But is pretty good at 29 per shot.
  • Ripper- This rifle gives an output of 11 body/ 16 headshot damage per shot from rank 1 to 4 and 13/18 headshot damage at level 5.
  • Protocol-V- This is a choice of most of the snipers which deal with 50 body shot damage and 75 headshot at rank 1 which rises to 80 body shot and 120 headshot damage.

Diablo 4: Release Date and More Information

Diablo 4 is a treat for all gamers. It is an upcoming dungeon crawler action game. It is developed by Blizzard Entertainment. This is the fourth edition of this game series, Diablo. We have all the information you need about it.

The Release Date of Diablo 4:

With coronavirus pandemic capturing the whole planet right now, the production’s work came to a halt and had a complete shutdown. Due to this reason, the game series might be delayed for quite some time. Though we can expect the show to be released in 2021 or 2022 or maybe longer since developing a game is definitely not an easy task, and takes time. However, the makers of the show never deliver the show very soon as they did with the second and third edition of the show.

The game is designed in the best way for its fans. Any gamer can try his hands on this popular game on any platform ranging from PC Xbox or PlayStation 4. Thus making it easy for the game to engage a large audience in itself.

Diablo 4 would somewhat be similar to its previous edition, Diablo 3 since no major changes have been made in the storyline of the game.

The game also has a collection of good and bad reviews according to the people and gamers who have played it once. Some say the game to be more like any other game with no eye-catching visuals as such while some find the game worth playing and investing their time in this calling it a perfect game.

Except for two trailers of the show by Blizzard Entertainment, no announcements have been made in addition. So not much can be done than waiting for the game to be released one its development is complete for the gamers to enjoy.

Valorant: Reyna

Reyna is a VALORANT agent with an aggressive, duel-centric playstyle. Reyna's unique mechanic are the so-called Soul Orbs, which drop when she kills an opponent and which, upon consumption, give her various bonuses — from massive healing to invisibility.

Reyna's ultimate ability is Empress, which turns her into a rapid-fire death machine, dramatically increasing all her combat stats. Every kill renews Empress' duration, and a skilled Reyna player can wipe away the entire team in one swift offense.

Abilities

Dismiss (E) – Consumes a nearby soul orb, becoming intangible for a short duration. If your ultimate is active, also become invisible.

Leer (C) – Throw an eye through surfaces. The eye will blind all enemies who look at – only affects distant vision, so use to take on AWPers.

Devour (Q) – Enemies killed by Reyna leave behind Soul Orbs that last 3 seconds. Consume a nearby soul orb, rapidly healing for a short duration. Health gained through this skill exceeding 100 will decay over time. If your ultimate is active, this skill will automatically cast and not consume the orb.

Empress (X) – Enter a frenzy, increasing firing speed, equip, and reload speed dramatically. Scoring a kill renews the duration.

Valorant: Omen

Omen is a VALORANT agent who is clouded in mystery and speacializes in covering the battlefield and his enemies in darkness. Two of his abilities, Paranoia and Dark Cover, are ranged attacks that obscure vision and give Omen a huge advantage in duels and teamfights.

On top of his crowd controlling skills, Omen has the ability to teleport around the map — either on short distances with Shadow Walk, or globally on the map with his From the Shadows ultimate. Therefore, a team with both Omen and Brimstone becomes incredibly dangerous, as it can deploy damage and crowd control anywhere on the map, seemingly out of nowhere.

Abilities

Dark Cover (E) – Cast an orb that bursts into a sphere of shadow obscuring the final location. Can be charged to increase distance.

Shrouded Step (C) – After a delay, teleport a short distance.

Paranoia (Q) – Cast a shadow in a straight line that blinds anyone it touches.

From the Shadows (X) – Select anywhere on the map to teleport and reform, will initially appear as a shadow, which can be killed by enemies and cancel the teleport. If teleport is successful, you become invisible for a short time.

Valorant: Sova

Sova is a VALORANT agent, who specializes in scouting and reconnaisance. Sova's entire kit is built around finding the enemies and marking them for his allies. Owl Drone and Recon Bolt are a single target and AoE scanners, respectively. Sova's ultimate, Hunter's Fury, is a map-wide damaging ability that also marks enemies it hits. Teams that like to rely on complete information on enemies' movements and positioning will want to have a Sova in their ranks.

Abilities

Recon Bolt (E) – Fire a bolt that deploys a sonar emitter and tags nearby enemies, revealing them.

Owl Drone (C) – Deploy and control a drone that reveals enemies around the map. Once active you can fire a tracking dart that reveals one enemy’s location until they remove it.

Shock Bolt (Q) – Fire and explosive bolt that damages enemies on impact. Use it to clear out boxes and corners.

Hunter’s Fury (X) – Fire up to three energy blasts that spear across the entire map and each hit enemy takes damages and is marked.
