Plus where dragon goes from here and how he founded the revolutionary army either. There is clearly a lot more to tell with dragon's past (garp's as well. We still dont really know why he became a marine in the first place and why he is so loyal)
They almost assuredly run into each other again between this moment and the current timeline of the story. They also might meet again later in the story too.
The full on argrument will be when dragon left luffy to garp, those stubborn monkey fam mind will clash each others, it gonna be so fun to read. The way I read this it's supposed to mirror his attitude with marineford , garp despises himself as well but he persists in doing what he thinks is right.
Garp this arc has had such an insane background check. I think he ultimately fought for his crews survival more than anyone else at the end, but at the start of god valley he had a job to take down the rocks pirates and that was what he was gonna do regardless of what they were there for.
But also he clearly beats up sengoku who he sees as too much of a marine and "Chasing ranks" and then goes on to save his son.
Garp in a lot of ways seems like he's in the marines to defeat the world but also fight for the world he is living in despite it being bad.
