I imagine once shuri is saved she'll be like "Oh brook, I never meant to do any of this" followed by a scene of her POV in the throne room. This could have happened moments before brook entered the room. Imagine groh standing over leuvens beaten body, shuri enters and screams "Father". Then both get domi reversi'd, shuri kills leuven, brook enters the room. Something like this? Might be her temporarily realizing what happened after the incident (which brook wouldn't have seen) or from when she learned the truth about who she was which brook also doesn't see. Wouldn't make sense if brook saw her crying over the king because he believed her to have legitimately murdered him up until seeing imu take over other characters. Perhaps we'll get a bit more from her perspective when they try to save her. I'm assuming the the king was killed before they explained to shuri that she was a celestial dragon, and before imu possesses shuri.
I think what happened is:
- manmayer arrived into the room, and saw that shuri had the eyes they needed.
- he killed the king.
- imu went to manmayer's body as the black shadow, and then possessed shuri.
- brooke arrived
- manmayer arrived into the room, and saw that shuri had the eyes they needed.
