Could be interesting/also sad if he had eaten the fruit as a kid for example and the fruit actually allows you to resurrect endless times, so he did die then too. My thought for that was an implication of memory loss, making that scene hazy enough in his mind that he thinks the horns and wings could only be a hallucination. Whoever said candelle and shuri had a similar background as ginny and bonney can feel quite vindicated right now, because it seems like that is what happened - candelle got "Sick", was bedridden for months, leuven married her, then shuri was born. Adding to that, shuri is saying the exact same thing shanks was saying to shamrock: that his life up and until then was a waste and that it made him very angry to have missed out on his life as a celestial dragon. They both tell the other person "Do you realize how angry that makes me?" (ch. 1167 if you want to check it out yourself), so I wonder if there's a reason for that similarity in words.

So I was also thinking that brook saw the domi reversi, saw Mars, heard about the great one from the manmayer doofus, heard him speak, and how very inconvenient it was that he didn't mention any of this beforehand, especially during egghead, but I guess the angle to explain that is that "He was stabbed in the head, in general very ignorant of the world, and heavily traumatized, so his memory was fucked". And he at least mentioned the god's knights before. And he is in a crew where people tend to not mention very important background until it becomes super relevant (luffy being garp's grandson for one), so he is forgiven.

Also, luffy punched imu. Can't understate that.
