It was way too rushed, and I would have really liked to see how he ended up meeting yorki and becoming a pirate. I feel like he was scared of complaints after the loki / harald / rocks flashback. I was also hoping the stupid panty gag would get some kind of like tragic origin, but it turns out brook’s just a creep. I don’t think k it was bad, it was just lacking. The only new information we learned is there’s yet another mysterious eye heritage. Hyped for luffy and imu finally meeting. Called it exactly. Very good chapter. I like that we get to see the influence of the elders on big events. Makes them feel more active as demons ruling from the shadows influencing world events vibe. I wonder if jaurles sword through the head bit was influence by oda deciding that would be how brook gets his scar.
So it seems that nerona doesn't have observation haki maybe he didn't bother to train himself to have it because he is always depending on his immortality and instantaneous regeneration powers, so maybe that's why him and the elders couldn't sense the presence of sabo and wapol hidding at the empty throne. Brook was already my favorite straw hat after his run in with big mom and now he got another flashback when his first backstory was already ridiculously tragic. To think this man has escaped death so many times and he just keeps living. Stabbed through the head, stranded alone for 50 years, tangled with a yonko and stole her poneglyph and is about to go save shuri despite the strongest being in the verse controlling her. He didn't even hesitate.
