She isn't on the rocks pirates yet but this is the era where shakky becomes empress of the kuja. She's at god valley so maybe she gives up on roger and falls in love with rocks after that? Also, the focus on silver axe is interesting. He seems reminiscent of like zephyr or smoker. For some reason, I'm getting vibes that he might be a member of sword. I love that oda gave us the full roster of the rocks crew and that's where we are now. There's no way he plans to go all the way up to god valley with this flashback but he might. Depends on how much of a player harald was in it. Maybe loki was one of the hunted? Lot to unpack here. What's interesting with this chapter is that luffy has a lot in common not with roger but with rocks. Roger in this chapter is nothing like luffy but rocks is pure luffy. The way he acts when someone talks shit about someone he sees as a friend is pure luffy.
Kinda interesting to see the flaws in rocks' approach here. He's already clashing with kaido, delusionally considering harald his friend (when they've clashed once and harald has refused any offer to join him for the past several years), and is focused on thinking harald needs to eat elbaf's fruit (when that doesn't seem to have happened). Feel like next chapter is going to be the point where all of this comes to a head in a way rocks can't just ignore.
Speaking of which, wonder if we'll get kaido and loki interactions next chapter. Given that the former is everything loki wants to be at this point in his life and probably won't have much love for loki's whining about his country (given his own past as a child solider) that could be interesting. Would also explain why oda chose to have kaido specifically clash with rocks this chapter.
