I'm loving the implication that shakky is basically the helen of troy of the one piece world. If god valley is the trojan war, how would each of the players fit as iliad characters? To me seems like rocks would be like achilles here. Everything we have learnt about rocks has only made me like the guy more. He pillaged "Charity money" but oda makes it a point to tell us it never was going to be used for that.
The dynamics between the members of the rocks crew is also quite fun and chaotic at the same time. Their adventures look as interesting as strawhats' was during the pre-timeskip era.
Off all the legends of the bygone era, rocks is right below roger for me at the moment. And that says a lot about someone who was revealed a few chapters ago being compared to the legend since page one. Glad we got an answer as to why gloriosa joined the rocks pirates, it's because she decided to chase after roger, but her people were either against the idea, or she left on her own due to her culture not allowing men to be brought back. Rocks was a huge rival to roger so by joining his crew she had the opportunity to chase after him. I'm guessing she finally took no for an answer at god valley or when he met rouge.
