I know people want more from usopp, but i been waiting to hear more about brook’s past for years. Him saying he was a commander in a small kingdom was always interesting to me. The central character of a flashback is usually given a notable introduction right at the beginning and that is present right here. Obviously, brook is someone we already know but oda still puts in the effort of giving this younger version of him a memorable first impression. Having brook singing at the top of his lungs on top of a building at 4 am while people get annoyed by him, and capping that off with this gorgeous panel of brook jumping in the air as the sun rises!? That’s so good man.

Also, it’s so fun getting introduced to new characters we know pretty much nothing about and getting immersed in whatever setting the flashback takes place in. I’m super stoked to see how this plays out and ready to experience pain once again.  Brook's singing brought me to mind of usopp screaming about pirates and the town pretending to hate it but they all secretly were ok with it and missed it when he left.
