Brook's one of my fave straw hats so i'm happy to see more depth in his backstory, but it's going to hurt watching him lose an entire island of admirers and friends knowing that he'll then also lose the people who come to lift him back up after this tragedy. Checking the timeline - brook is with the rumbar pirates sailing the grand line 18 years after this. We see gunko at the reverie when rocks meets imu in the flower room, meaning whatever tragedy happens in this country occurs, at latest, when gunko is 21 (56 years ago).
The only notable thing that happens outside of character births within that window is big mom in elbaf, curious to see how oda fills that space! I also love how ripley's been written this arc, showing exactly how much determination a self proclaimed member of the last generation of elbaf warriors fights with to protect her country. Also entirely based on outfit looking similar to shamrock's, i wouldn't be surprised if candelle is involved in directing whatever tragedy occurs as a member/contributor/supporter of the gods knights.
