Okay, probably a month of this before we see the gang again. How's the timeline adding up? Shuri was taken as a young adult, and this is 20 years before brook died. So we're probably going to see a jump ahead to their older ages and then... Native hunt yet again? We saw an adult shuri crying out for her father at one point in her memories. But, considering the way candelle's beauty is being highlighted, i think it'll probably be another straight kidnapping instead. Probably the manmeyer head of house wants her. Imu dropped the name "douzan" in this one, contextually i'd assume that's the void century user of the nidhoggr devil fruit? Also neat to see him using luffy and loki's real names now, like he's legitimizing them as opponents.
None of the esperia royals had surnames given, raises the question if they're manmayers who left mary geoise like the donquixotes (just to much better results, maybe even undercover) or if shuri/gunko was just adopted into the manmayers after whatever happened (expecting something similar to loki's situation). Also wonder what yorki's role is gonna be when he turns up, possibly someone close to shuri and leading the rumbar pirates in pursuit of her in some way, either (probably misguided) revenge or a rescue. This could also be where binks' sake's relation to void century lore is laid out plain, if so that's probably related to esperia being destroyed, kind of an ohara situation.
