Out of all the group shots we had this chapter I gotta give it to the gods knights crazily enough. Those are all crazy high tier designs with my favorite being qilingam’s mom look extra amazing! Considering most if not all of them are gonna be the major powerhouses alongside the elders in the final war, it makes sense that oda would go that hard with their designs. I’m also just amazed at how consistently oda can create insanely cool and unique looking characters even after all these years and hundreds and hundreds of characters appearing on page.
For me, this is garp's final chance to show himself to be a "Good" character. Dragon is half his age and immediately recognized how twisted this hunting game is. People keep making excuses on how he can't fight the system alone etc and dragon is showing you can if you want to. If after he arrives on the island, he doesn't try to help the people being hunted, he's trash in my eyes.
God valley seems to be the equivalent for dragon as marineford was to luffy.
Absolutely powerless in the face of everything and my man is still trying to get at least some good out of the hell he has inadvertently found himself in.
It'd be nice if before the end of it all that dragon could meet roger or rocks even briefly.
Im quietly confident that something is going to happen to dragon and he'll separate the 2 brothers in different chests, as their paths of destiny split.
Also side note - given its almost certain that the marines knew of dragons lineage, did they send him to god valley to die regardless of his relation to garp?
