This chapter really makes me appreciate dragon and what he's done after
watching the marines protect celestial dragons as they massacred an
entire island's inhabitants. He's dedicated his life to helping people
fight back and save themselves and promoted justice in his own way with
the revolutionaries. The goa kingdom during the trash heap fires he
opened a path to the sea to save everyone stuck in the flames. And at
the lulusia we saw his commanders empower the people to beat back
pinkbeard and his pirates themselves. His goal isn't world domination
but simply to provide protection for those cast aside and deemed
subhuman by the current world powers.
It's the type of heroic work that
luffy himself scoffs at. Garp may also work for justice and hate the
celestial dragons, but he didn't take the same leap of faith as his son
in denouncing celestial dragons for the demons they are.
Those are definitely little arms holding onto teach, right? Oda is
trying to slip us up so hard with this kid situation in god valley. I
really was not in on the “buggy is rocks’ kid” theory but is it
possible? Or maybe he’s another davy clan member, like a cousin or
something?
Dragon finds shanks & shamrock’s mom in one panel, asking to save my
children. He then immediately cuts to teech and his mom, speaking about
teech in the singular but with little arms holding onto his neck.
Earlier in the chapter, garling doesn’t know he has kids is it possible
rocks didn’t know he had a second kid? There’s so much happening at god
valley, it’s crazy.
