I think the betrayal will come later. Even right now it doesn't seem like roger wanted to fight xebec. Roger is ready to dip at this point, xebec is gonna find his wife dead and possibly think teach is dead too and go on an indiscriminate rampage against the celestial dragons which some civilians might get in the crossfire too, there’s no reasoning with him so roger and garp and maybe even members of his own crew team up to put him down.
Domi reversi is a possibility too, would be an excuse to get him to kill everyone else on the island and then just wipe it out to get rid of him too when it’s done.
Would also end up subtly paralleling davy jones being at the bottom of the ocean sunken with his treasure (family). Teach and eris will get sent away by kuma who rescued 500 slaves. Rocks will think they're dead, and attack shamrock/shanks in vengeance. Garp and roger will put a stop to that.
