I love roger and gaban like "Yeah, we get it, can we get back to the plot!?" moment. Roger threw himself at newgate and into the pile of pirates to give ray the opening to save her. At this point, im surprised these two dont have a kid yet in current timeline. Or they have one but not introduced. I find it fascinating how oda's been showing the difference between the babies.
When they're introduced to garling, you see shamrock reach up with both hands, but shanks only reaches with one. Interesting, I have the opposite impression: that with them being twins, oda has been stressing how upbringing affects the personality. I think they're moreso saying the difference in how they're drawn/placement in the panel, that the limb quantity issues shanks faces later in life affect him as a baby, he can't seem to get his left arm in frame. Just a physical way to tell them apart. Just like shanks is the adult with a missing arm, he's currently being depicted as the baby with a missing arm.
