The difference between the straw hats and the rocks pirates has been painted quite simply in this chapter. Rocks doesn’t trust his crew enough to rely on them with sensitive matters, such as the fact that his wife and son are the reason for his crusade to god valley. In contrast, luffy, or any member of the straw hats, never has to hide such crucial information, because the crew is willing to risk their lives for one another. Luffy, as a leader, inspires unity and trust. He encourages his crew to rely on and support each other. Rocks, on the other hand, ruled through power and fear, whereas luffy wins people over through his willingness to help them and his genuine understanding of their struggles. 

 

 After seeing dragon in a situation similar to what luffy, kid, and law went through, as well as the roger pirates escaping god valley after rayleigh saved shakky, and getting there hands on as many treasures as they can, I now wonder if the next chapter(s) will reveal how dragon put shanks in one of chests which originally contained the devil fruit that dragon ate, and place it near roger's ship? In my opinion, john having a robotic hand or gauntlet with a similar design to kid's could just be a coincidence. However, the only way to confirm it is if john used the magnet magnet fruit like kid does. Who knows, if gaban saw it, and is aware of kid having the same power, maybe he can help him use it a lot better than before? Which might be necessary since I doubt emperor luffy & his crew are enough to stop imu, and save elbaph!
