Now there is also more meaning to kaido's introduction. Where he talks out loud as if he adresses doflamingo that he wants to start the greatest war this world has ever seen. But he also says he doesn't care about this boring world.
I guess he wants more strong ppl so they can team up against imu. Probably he just misses rocks deep down. Because rocks could stand up to imu. And that would make life 'not boring'.
The story about big mom giving kaido his devil fruit being a lie is interesting. For kaido, it shows why he believes your pirates allies will betray you. For big mom, it shows her scheming even when she wasn't crazy and why she'd be so mad that kaido owes her.
I kind of think that big mom set herself up for that, but I still get why she's pissed. Katakuri with the azure dragon fruit is a sick what-if though. They would have needed another ship just to carry his enormous balls. I love the fact that oda gave him so much depth, rather than simply being a generic super strong guy that wanted to take over the world.
Hopefully we get a full fight next chapter, instead of offscreen just to show how much imu's power evolving after this flashback.
Also, how the heck garp is getting away with this if he also fighting imu? The theory of xebec being domi reversied might be true after all.
