Is it crazy that I kinda want dragon to be just a normal guy and his notoriety is from strategy and intelligence of putting the revolutionary army to where it is today? This entire flashback showing him being a "Small fry" in the big ocean makes me kinda like the idea that he's battling the biggest beast of the world with just his wit and intellect. Perhaps he can have haki but he'd be less combat focused and such.
I'm likely shooting the shit right now cause the recency bias of the few chapters has me rose-tinted but seeing him at base without a devil fruit and not the most able fighting marine is having me like the idea more that even someone like him can make the world government tremble enough to consider him the most wanted man. Dragon is theorized to have a wind/weather type fruit. It would be so badass for dragon to cast strong wind to shove his appointment towards himself and use that momentum to just gut punch them super hard. So if gill bastar has perona’s fruit, why did he have four arms when landing on god valley only to seemingly not have them in his two gv appearances after that? It’d make more sense if he had robin’s fruit, unless they’re like ghost arms and guns that shoot little exploding hollows. I was racking my brain trying to make sense of him having the fruit, you knocked it out of the park. I should have read wanted again, I have it on a shelf in my living room.
